my sons school are not helping him much either he has been suspended twice because of his behaviour. ive spoke to the school but they dont seem to listen ↑
Hi Chris,
Well I can asure you that any parent with a child that has ADD/ADHD feels exactly the same way and I myself have gone through the same issues over and over again. The only thing that I can suggest if you are not already doing/trying is being the best child avocate for your son that you can be and fighting the school system all the way.I am in Australia not sure where you are located but I called the education department and asked them to send someone out from there.I had meetings after meetings untill they actually started trying and doing other things designed for my son's needs in mind. Look I know it's hard and boy do I know,I have a 16yr old son and a 6 yr old both with the above and tic's to go along with it.dont give up
hope.yes they do get the short end of the stick and its not fair at all but if I see a slight chance that my son's are not to blame then I go for it and make sure that all party's (the other kids) are made an example of in the same way these kids are. Tell them (your child) that you lnow it's not always them who has started the issue what ever it is even swearing I know its not allowed or shouldn't be used but suspension like you said come on it happens all the time in the playground I hear lots of younger kids swearing it's terrible, are they suspended NO not normally. look good luck and of course if you would like to reply I shall check back and perhaps chat again take care. ↑ |
I do not agree with suspending children from school. That's the school boards way of not dealing with the problem in my opinion. I was told my son has adhd and I can tell you It's obviously just a way to get the parents to chemicly control the children so the school's job is made easier. Have you noticed how many children are being diagnosed with all of these new disorders and there is a drug to go with each one since they've stopped disciplining children in school. It is so sad that parents would even go along with putting their children on drugs that are made of the same ingredients as crack or crystal meth rather than "DEALING" with the real problem. TRY DISCIPLINE!!! No one ever said parenting would be easy, so should a "magic medicine" do the job for you??? ↑
My little boy is three and a half and is in the process of tests and seeing different people i am 100% convinced he has a form of adhd but they say he is to young to be diagnosed he has been excluded once from Nursery for kicking a teacher when the teacher actually picked him up from behind which she shouldn't of done and now he is lashing out all the time swearing can't socialise with others and the school don't seem to be following advice! i no how you feel ↑
I am wondering what are the best remedies for the treatment for ADHD children? I don't want to put my son on any type of drug, does anyone have any suggestions? ↑
I do understand where you are coming from. my son is in the beginning of his first year of school and they already put him on half days and singleing him out because of his behavior. ↑
AND HE IS ONLY FIVE AND IN KINDERGARDEN. ↑
Read ADDer post. It lift you up, u dun feel like suffering so much. More outdoor play for your child, monitor and correct him on d spot, but privately,.. suspension is too harsh. Conference with d teacher, there must be more to it than just d 'F' word. B upfront abt you want to work with them to help your child, not to destroy his self esteem. Its so exhusting, but just try. ↑
