What do you do for an 8 year old boy who has been treated for ADHD for 4 years, but has trouble keeping his hands to himself. He is a sweet, loving boy who wants to touch everybody. Sometimes not very appropriately (pats on the bottom kind of thing). That seems to be our major obsticle right now. He is having a hard time making friends, and is having issues with his soccer team because of this. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hmmmm... sounds like maybe something more than ADHD. Perhaps a little OCD (obsessive/compulsive disorder). A lot of ADHD kids have that as well. My son has a touch of that- his "thing" is the common hand washing. His hands are red, raw, and chapped from overwashing. He takes Ritalin LA for his ADHD, but that doesn't touch his hand washing problem. May be worth asking your doc about ??? Keep us posted.

Thanks Jennifer. I'm not sure it's OCD, but definatly worth checking out.
