Try melatonin. It's over the counter and all natural. Take it about 1/2 hr before bed time. It has helped my son tremendously.

Hi we have a liquid melatonin which is so much easier for us as we pop it in his milk before bedtime. XX We can get in on prescription for free in the UK.

Hi my son has alot of problems sleeping also. So our doc recommended Melatonin. You don't need a perscription for it and it works pretty well and its inexpensive and not habit forming.

Is there a certian amount of melatonin that you should give your child. My son is on new meds for ADHD and bipolar disorder and he really is doing better with school, but bedtime is a two to three hour deal the last week.

One I was given, that was helping with mood swings for my son also was geodon, or giodon. Its spelled one of the two ways. It made him very sleepy.

You asked about dosage for Melatonin....I would start with only 1 mg. Start with low dosage; it may just do the trick. 1 mg works wonders for my 6 year old..takes about 30 min.
