Dear ... Did you notice you didn't even leave a name? If I were a first mom, that would scare me away. Besides, if you believed in a power greater than yourself, you’d know that if you’re supposed to have a child in your life, you will. If you're not, you won't. It has NOTHING to do with begging those of us who have children to not adopt again. I waited 4 long years for my adopted son. I just kept praying that if I were to have a child, the child would be placed in my life. When I got rid of all my preconceived ideas, my son came quickly. He's EXACTLY what I wanted; I just didn't know it at the time. I would trade my life for my adopted son's. He and my husband are #1 in my life.
I would suggest you take a step back and examine why you want to adopt. An adopted child is not a possession, an adopted child is a God given blessing brought to you through a loving, caring first mom who adores her child so much she wants the best for her angel. Adoption isn't a game. You don't ask others to let you win because they've already won before. You believe and pray and pray and believe and maybe someday a child calls you mommy. Don't tell others to go away. Bless them on their journey!
