Does anyone know the rules for WI?

You should easily be able to google that information online. A while back someone posted links to all the states I do not remember where it is. We are just finishing up some things so hopefully I will be flying out to get our baby on Monday or so so I do not have time to look. My suggestion is call a lawyer or agency in Wisconsin. That is always the safest route. Seriously consider using a well researched agency or lawyer. If this adoption happens for us it will have been under a month excluding finalization. It is not expensive as you think if you look around.

Rules are very strick for WI. The birthmother has 30 days to reconsider her choice to parent or place. The baby remains in fostercare or cradle care until the point where the adoptive parents can get a court date. TPR has to be in front of a judge, which usually takes some time to get the court date. I believe the adoptive parents are allowed to visit the baby but it could be a long stay if you were wanting to be with the baby all the time.
