Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself and my family. My name is Samantha Taylor ... My husband is Jason & we live in the state of Tennessee. I have two boys from a previous marriage that are 12 and 6. I am interested in adopting from the state or available foster children. Mainly due to the age goroup we are looking for. We are looking for a daughter ... ages newborn to 4 would really prefer 1-4 or 2-4. Some folks at my local DCS are great and some need personality. Some are flat out rude. They do not have any classes for what they call PATH here available right now. So I am at their mercy. I am guessing they won't accept a regular homestudy due to the fact that most in states custody are special needs children and have special circumstances. I am considering having a private homestudy done but there are very few domestic situations in the age range we are looking for at agencies. I am very green to this whole process and appreciate any information or insight anyone can offer. Pleae feel free to e-mail me or post any information or insight that would be helpful. Also any situations that might fit for us.
