Name: mommyinwaiting [ Original Post ] I took Mikey to neurology yesterday and the doctor said he is making great improvements and that Mikey will be walking soon!! He just started crawling, but he does it differently because he is vision impaired he puts his head to the ground and crawls. It is adorable. On the waiting side of adoption, I have met a very nice facilitator in Sacramento (Heartfelt) and her fees are very reasonable $4800. We are hoping to sign up soon, it is hard to squeeze out an extra $4800 at Christmas time. I hope everyone is doing well. ↓

Hi I have an update on the facilitator. She works with attorneys who take your profile to the prison and present them to birthmoms. The attorneys fee is $10,000, so what seemed like it was reasonable, really wasn't :( Once matched we would have to pay the attorney $10K after we already paid the $4800. Of course these are just the beginning of the fees it doesn't include filing fees, adoption service provider, homestudy, or birthmom expenses. Well we will just keep looking :) I know the right situation will come along as it will for all of us looking. And for those who are placing, I know you will find a good family to trust to care for your little one. ↑
