Hi everyone,
Sorry to have been MIA for the past week. Our birthmom went into labor three weeks before we expected (her due date was earlier then expected).
Now you are asking yourself "What birthmom??" We were matched in a whirlwind couple of weeks and everything from first conversation to birth unfolded in two weeks. It all resulted from a good old fashioned newspaper ad.
We became parents to a beautiful baby girl born on 5/20/07. She was born weighing 5 pounds 8 oz and 17 1/2 inches tall. We named her Jenna Danielle. She's beautiful, healthy and we can't wait to bring her home. We are waiting for the interstate compact to be completed.
Don't give up your adoption quest. It's worth it 1000 times over the day you hold your baby. Thanks for all your support ladies! We feel incredibly blessed and thankful. ↓

| Congratulations nyjocool! That is wonderful news. When will the interstate compact be thru? ↑ |
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So you ran an add in the newspaper looking for a birth mom. What state are you in? I don't think I can do that in Georgia. That is so wonderful. What does she look like?
Love,
Michelle ↑ |
Congratulations again Jo!
You know I am so happy for you!
Hugs to all of you!
Love,

Thanks ladies. I am in NY. It's legal fo residents in almost all states to run adoption ads. The interstate compact came through either Tuesday or Wedneday and then we can go home.
The birthmom is not local and is three states away, yet only 4 hours by car, so we are lucky we did not have to fly.
Our peanut has blonde hair in the front, brown hair in the back, dark blue eyes and fair skin. She's a cutie!
Good luck to those of you still searching! ↑ |
Congratulations enjoy you baby:) You are bless. :)

Joanne, I haven't been here much lately either, with the two little ones, I am super busy! But I just wanted to tell you, that is one lucky little girl to have you both for parents!
Congratulations! ↑ |
Hi nyjocool, I don't come here very often anymore, but I wanted to see how everything is going and how your 2 beautiful girls are!
We are great here, Mikey's adoption was final May 24th & Emma's is going along just fine. She is amazing, 3 months old smiling, laughing, sleeping great, she also has incredibly big lungs LOL. She actually slept thru the fireworks last night. ↑ |
Thanks for asking-my girls are doing great! Big sister Jacqueline is quite the helper and loves her little sister. Jenna is growing like a weed and a very pleasant baby. She'll be 7 weeks on Sunday! I am enjoying both my girls!!
Sounds like Mikey and Emma keep you busy!! That's a good thing! ↑ |
| Congrats I wish you and your family all the luck. God has a child for all it just takes time for some to meet with in the journey. ↑ |
| Congrats! I bet she is just beautiful. ↑ |
How exciting!!! I thought about a newspaper ad and wondered "do they really work?" well... your living proof. Congrads...
