Name: Melis [ Original Post ] I was wondering if any one had any suggestions for me. Next week we are going to the doctor's appointment with our birthmom, she is due in April and we plan on being a part of all of the doctor's appts. etc. Should we take something for her and her husband now? Or should we wait? I really don't know what to do. Also, do you have any suggestions for gifts?? Thanks for any advice. Melissa ↓

Melis... I think giving your birthmom a gift is a wonderful idea. But I do agree with Carolyn, I think waiting until the placement is final. As for idea on a gift...You give here a heart shaped locket, and put a picture of the baby in it. And that way she can always have him/or her closet to her heart. It's just an idea.... ↑

Melissa- With Andrew's birthmom, the day he was born, she got back to her room from recovery (she had C-section) and found we had two dozen multi colored roses in a vase for her, a new pretty nightgown we bought her that was appropriate to wear in the hospital, & a full array of yummy smelling shower gels, lotion, shampoo, & sprays that I bought her at Bath and Body Works. We sent flowers to the hospital. And at placement we had a diamond neclace for her and a gift certificate to a local spa. She changed her mind at placement, so we kept the neclace, but gave her the gift certificate. ↑
