Refers to having either a son (age 7-10) named Tommy or a daughter (2-4 year old) named Jasimine, Abigail, or Abby.
Refers to either living in or working at a Domestic Violence Shelter.
Various locations: Sharon, PA - Youngstown, OH - Franklin & Nashville & Dickson, TN - and possibly TX & LA.
Says either birthfather is unknown, one night stand, or is a Police Officer.
Never directly ask for money, but makes it known that she is in need of money for food or rent ("do you know anyone that can help with food/rent/gas/etc...").

I just wanted you to know that I saw your story on dateline and my heart aches for you. I am not a birthmother looking to give up a baby for adoption. I am a mother who could not imagine anyone taking my son away. It seemed like kidnapping to me. She's an aweful person and should go to jail. Just know that you and your family are in my prayers and I know that God will bless you with more children. It is a shame that cruel, mean, hateful, evil people like her are able to get pregnant. Hopefully though, I pray, that she will give the baby up for adoption because she has no business raising a child. Take care. You are beautiful and have a beautiful family.

So sorry to hear about your story on Dateline NBC. This past year, we also were victims of an adoption scam. BY OUR LAWYERS. Post adoption legal fees for a straight forward adoption that was close to 40K over their estimated fees. Holding documents ransom for inflated attorney fees.
They are scamming all around.
Anyone reading doing an OREGON adoption contact me!
Domestic adoptions need the same regulations that can be found in International adoptions. Our first adopted child was adopted from Romania in 2000. Talk about SMOOTH. At a fraction of the cost!!

I watched Dateline on the adoption scam. When I heard the girls name that was doing the scamming I was like "what!" My name is Christina Tidwell.....I also go by Christy. I couldn't believe she had the same name as me....especially since "Tidwell" is not all that common of a name!
My heart goes out to all the families that she scammed. I have 3 children of my own and cannot begin to know what it feels like to want a baby so badly and not be able to have one. I hope ''Christy Tidwell" will someday be punished for what she's done to so many couples. ↑ |

I want to put this person out of business; I'd like to get her face as recognizable as that of Tom Brokaw. Her actual name is Marissa Marie Foltz; she has two outstanding felony warrants for her arrest in Nashville. This woman has no children that I am aware of (she's gay). She fakes pregnancy, and it is my understanding she will even go so far as to pad her abdomen to lend veracity to her appearance. She is also currently in possession of a stolen Windstar minivan.
