HI guys. wanted to share with you two websites, both run by Asperger individuals for Asperger individuals but they are NT friendly and include both chatrooms and an AS/NT discussion forum where you can post a question and get answers from the real experts, those who actually are on the autistic spectrum and have often actually experienced what you are asking about themselves. If you ask they will answer. It is a wonderful way to come to a better understanding of your child, why they do what they do and what has worked for others in terms of resolving certain problems. I hope it will also cause you to develp a much greater regard and respect for these individuals with overall result being mutual benefit to both including a better overall treatment of them in society. My son is now grown and I brought him there so he could communicate with others somewhat like himself. I have benefited every bit if not more than he has from the site. I would have given a great deal to have this kind of insight available to me when he was little. So please take advantage... and if you do come, please do so with respect. If you enter their chatrooms, out of courtesy tell them you are NT and why you are there and ask their permission to stay. It is afterall their site. Well here are the sites.
