My 2 year old daughter was just diagnosed with autisim. My question is, do autistic kids typically sing and bauble all day long, where there is hardly any silence? She dances around squeeling and singing with eye contact, but she only actually has about 40 words which include the colors. I know she is a year behind, and I totally think she is on the spectrum, I was just wondering if those characteristics were typical for autisim. She also knows the alphabet and can count to twenty. Before her 2cnd birthday, she could not do any of these things that's kinda why I think it's a big deal for her. She just kinda started to kiss me (but I have to pretend I'm the cookie monster), it's pretty weak, but I'll take it. She has never said mama or dada. She knows about twenty songs. She will only eat aboout 10 things, none of which are protien except the milk. Also, for all the moms with picky eaters, there is a brand of freeze dried products on the market called "just". If you go to justtomatoes.com you can purchase "just" about anything in a freeze dried form which does not remove the nutrients. My daughter loves the strawberries, apples, raisons, blueberries, mango, bananas, blackberries and some others. It's better then chicken nuggets and french fries. She gets her protein from the milk. The snacks are crunchy and good. If it were not for those products my daughter would not eat anything except for brown rice cakes. Anyway, sorry I got off track. ↓
