I have an autistic son who is 10 years old, he has been autistic since he was 18 months old, but now that he is older. I am trying to work with him on temper tamtrums when we are at the store and I don't buy him something he see's that he wants the autism kicks in and he just goes wild with throwing things, hitting, biting and so on, is there anyone who could give me some advice on how to make him understand that he can't always have his way.

Hi. Here is the website for dealing with tantrums in autistic children... www.brainchild.com (look under PDD/NOS) ABA Therapy. I have a 7 year old son who has brocken his dad's nose with his temper tantrums before and this web site has really helped me.
