Have a party for him a month early so he gets the full deal like he should with the works. But then on his actual birthday, give him a special gift to open and remind him that his "party" had already taken place earlier. In fact have some pictures from his party available for him to look at so he remembers clearly! You could also fix him his favorite meal and present him with a small cake of his very own along with a gift on his bithday. And if you are at that time unable to do that, have your husband or grandparent or aunt and uncle do it for you, just so he knows he isn't forgotten! He will really enjoy it! :) ↑
THATS A GREAT IDEA. HE WILL BE 7 AND WILL UNDERSTAND THAT HE DOSENT GET 2 PARTIES. BUT THANKS FOR THE ADVICE. WE WILL HAVE HIS BDAY EARLY AND HE WILL GET A SPECIAL CAKE AND PRESENT ON HIS BDAY.... ↑

My ist son's birthday is Nov 14, his little brother was born 10 days late on Nov 21. The cool part of his birthday was getting a baby brother. Kids don't need to have a huge birthday party for every birthday they celebrate. Getting to choose whatever they want for dinner on their birthday and get to stay up late to watch a special movie or play a game with mom and dad can be really special too. ↑
He might feel himself he is getting to old for parties so suggest that your partner bring him and a few of his friends to the cinema then macDonalds or something. Make it a mans day out. Now that he is going to be a big bro it might make him feel grown up. ↑
i had birthdays till i was 16 and believe he should also. they were not big bashes but had some friends over. i am going to have his bday in feb sometimes. its just going to be family with a couple of friends and thats all. thats all he has ever had except his 1st and 4th bday i went all out. ↑
