well it depends. do your friends like the formal stuff? if they do by all means have a masquerade ball. If they don't like formal type things (mask-are a bit grown up) then maybe do something with alot more action. If u do have a Masq myst party than some things you could do are...
1. dancing (what else)
2. the king and queen of the ball(if its co-ed)
3. hire a cool DJ
4. make the whole thing real dramatic like to start the mystery black out the lights then maybe someone scream on stage and vanish from the room during the blackout. then come out and say OH no! then say what you want to so u can start the mystery.

all in all if u need more ideas just ask.

go swimming
talk the night away
watch chick flicks
watch other movies
play truth or dare
play games

My daughter is having her 12th b-day party. She has decided to go "Hollywood". She has asked people to dress like a famous person or character. We have all the Hollywood decor....just wanted to get some ideas for games for pre-teens boys and girls.

im 12 years old about to turn 13 in october 10 and i want to know wat the ideas to make my party crunk

Name: birthday guru | Date: Oct 1st, 2006 3:43 AM
hey chanel,
The point of a sleepover is to get all your pals together to have as much fun as possible. Plan at least three to four activities that you can all do throughout the evening to ensure that no one is going to get bored. You can give each other make-overs, play truth or dare or rent a couple videos, even if watching movies isn't going to be the main event of the party, its good to throw in a flick just before everyone is getting ready to go to sleep.

If you wanna kick your party up a notch, why not plan to sleep outside? A tree house is the perfect place to host an outdoor slumber party, but if you don't have one, a tent in the back yard, or even on your deck works just the same. Once you're all settled in your sleeping bags, get your friends to take turns telling ghost stories! And don't forget to bring a flashlight - after some of those stories, you'll need 'em!

hope iv'e helped

PS pillow fights are always popular

hey mysmum
the ages of 11-15 can be awfully hard to entertain especially around birthday time and if its boys and girls that makes it 5 times as hard. its good to have a theme like hollywood and i think she certanly knows her themes. its a bit hard to find games for this though. make sure you keep to the theme
here's some ideas for games
WHO AM I? - pin the name of a famous actor or
character onto the back of each guest & get them to quiz the other the guests in order to find out who they are.
CHARADES - an old one that keeps cropping up. Get guests to act out movie titles.
THE OSCARS - start the party in the morning & have teams make & edit a film which is then shown
in the evening at the awards ceremony.
if you need any mnore ideas just ask

I need some really cool halloween games for my friends party. There are going to be sixth to eighth graders at the party so I don't want little kidish games. If you can think of any games please type back. The party is October 28th so please try and type back before then.

hi haslloween
well being a halloween party i obviously think everyone should dress up and it should be in the dark.
my first halloween party was at 8:00 in a huge hedge maze. all the people separated into teams of different colours and where given a clue to try and find things (like a scavanger hunt)
the things were hiden in things like slime and they gave you a clue as to where to find the next one of your colour.
we didn't let them have torthces excelpt for a flikering torch with low batterys. along the way (because its halloween) they found treat bags when they found they're first clue. when the torches went out it was up to them to find their way back.
when they are back they all ate halloween food (cauldrens full of dark jelly and rubber snakes you couldn't see, burgers with novelty horns stuck in them, all the things that make you laugh) then the team who came back first was awarded with big treat bags (the other ones where pretty small) and then the king and queen where awarded with the best costumes.

you could use this isea but if its too kiddish ask for a more adult one (but trust me this was lots of fun)

low budjets aren't that hard to work with. here's some ideas
roller blading
home birthday (sleepovers only cost as much as for the food but are loads of fun)
shopping where kids bring their own money
...
tips:
A great teen party is made up of three core ingredients – music, food, and fun.
always get the child involved
use things already at home
if the child wants an expensive party (amusement parks ect.) only let them have 1 special friend.

if i haven't helped you may need to do some research on the net

Name: birthday guru | Date: Oct 9th, 2006 2:14 AM
hey so so
so you want something big eh? well lets hope you don't have a small budjet cuz big partays are expensive partays. why don't you do something like go to a amusement park with all ur friends and stay at the park hotel? you could also theme it hawaii or beach and hold it at the beach with a bar nearby and have everyone dress up...
or you could have a pool party or go to an aquatic center and hire a huge blow up thing to hang out on...

hi lizzy
invitations are easy to find on the internet. search it and if you cant find anything that takes your fancy you could make it a simple thing like black with silver writing andm eyes peering at you or something...
go to google and seach up halloween inviations on images for some pretty cool results
