Grrr! I took Joey to see the doctor today, and I parked my car in the Health Centre carpark which is for both Staff and Patients, and after Joey had had his appointment (turns out it's just a bad cold, thank God) I returned to my car with my sick baby to find out that there was a car illegally parked, blocking my way out!

I phoned the police, only to be told that as my car was in a private carpark, there was nothing they could do except perhaps clamp it for being illegally parked, but that might not be for a few hours yet.

And then after 30 minutes of unsuccessfully searching for a traffic warden, I returned to the health centre to see if they could at least clamp the illegally parked car. (as it's their carpark)

The damn receptionist said 'That's my car' to which I said 'You're blocking me and my baby in; shift your car' to which she said 'if you ask nicely', I said 'Ok I'll phone the police then' and she finally agreed to move the car.

She came out to the carpark and I said 'Are you in the habit of blocking patients in?' and she went mental claiming that she normally parked where my car was parked! And that I shouldn't have parked there!

But does that matter? It's not her carparking space! And the carpark is for patients too! If the carpark is full, you park somewhere else. She was blocking 3 cars in!

We had an argument, before she moved her damn car. GRRRRRR. I'm so pissed. She knew I had a sick baby, she knew she was illegally parked, she woekd at the doctors I had just come from, and she was swearing at me, instead of saying sorry!

I feel like going back there and keying her damn car!  ?

Fuck, i would key her car !! Teach the cow a damn lesson. She has obviously not had kids.. because she would know what its like having a SICK baby and wouldnt have been so bloody rude and ignorant.

are you kidding me! She thought it would be cool to just block in three other cars becasue her lazy ass didn't want to walk a few extra yards! I would ahve been pissed too. and then not to even say sorry and act like she was in the right for parking where she was! I would go in and talk to the dr office about how she treated you  =

I would get her name and file a complaint with the health services. Do you have NHS over there too? I know at my doctor's office they take complaints very seriously.

I would definately report it though. Sorry you and Joey had to go through that!  =

Yes we do have NHS. Which is partially why I'm not sure I'll bother. NHS don't really give a shit. If it were private, I'd definitely do it, but with the NHS, after 24 years of useless service ... If I made a complaint, I don't think they'd take much notice.  =

I'm not a very nice person when it comes to things of that nature, so I'd probably have demanded to speak to someone higher up than her, right then and there, and if they weren't available, I'd have let her know you were going to call in later to do so.  =

I'd make a complaint anyway...type up a little letter and post it off....say you'll go to the local paper or something. In my local paper people are always writing in with stories of how staff of supermarkets, health centres, loadsa places park crappily. You may get an apology....not sure if they can give you much else...but she may get a slap on the wrist and brought down a peg or two.

But yeah...the NHS is shite....private hospitals would take you seriously...I have BUPA insurance and use that as well as the NHS (to avoid waiting lists sometimes lol) and the hosp i get treated privatley in...its so different to the nhs one! It's cleaner....staff are politer....coffee from the coffee machine is nicer!!! And they always have magazines from this year!!! hahaaa  =
