Hey Lena i'm due feb 22 with my first baby, and like you i've had real bad back pain. So far i've got a lot of pillows for support on my bed. I try as much as possible to stay off my feet. Although laying down and getting back up is very painful and difficult. What have you tried so far?

hey, i dont get it...what back pain is everyone experiencing? is it because of boobs and weight or what? why do pregnant women get it? im 4 months pregnant and of course i sleep with tons of pillows but thats because thats how i get comfortable...my back hurts sometimes but i think its because im always bent over making necklaces with my grandmother. and of course when i babysit my nephew because i have to change him a thousand times a day. lol...i had a serious one one time and my bf messaged my back with biofreeze and it releases all the tense muscles. but do i get those because of pregnancy? im not big at all...i have a bump but im a timy person so my stomach is rather tiny too.

Hello Lena. i am a new dad who will be expecting my first bundle of joy in november. i decided to write back as a male even though your opening said hi girls, which is cool but i thought i would share my insight. well what i normally do is make sure that my girlfriend has a pillow everywhere. like her back between her legs. etc..... also i make sure that her feet is up whenever possible. and also i give her massages.. also i brought her a maternity belt which is a big help too.. i hope this helps..

I'm 21 and this is my first baby also and I don't get back pain...now I'm confused. I'm 5'5 and 118 lbs right now and I'm starting to show but I'm still skinny so is that why I don't get it or what? LOL.

I have found that gym helps a lot. Other options would be pilates which strengthens your pelvic and back muscles. I've heard yoga's good too. A massage would do wonders as well, however, it makes you feel good for just a while. For long term benefits, go the pilates way! Just make sure you get someone who specialises with preggie moms and who can give you individual attention. It is far better than attending a class with some ten more women. Well, what I mean is, it would not benefit your back as much.

It is never too late. Back problems sometimes go on even after delivery and the sooner you deal with them the better.
