ok so a friend of mine and her husband and children are coming out to visit us at the end of the month, she will be around 17-18 weeks preggie by then. I am planning to throw them a surprise baby shower, and I've hosted baby showers before but never one that both male female and children attended which is what we are planning, so we can all attend as well as all the family they have here in town that haven't seen them in a while, they won't get long to stay so i wanted to include everyone!
Anyhow I want to know what you all did/ ate/ played/ ect at your showers....i want some good ideas!!! I have a few things that I'm for sure doing , but I want input. ↓

| You could get cheap bottles and fill with pop, beer, whatever and have all the men race to see who drinks it the fastest. You could also have the children or the men see who can diaper a baby the fastest, put some babyfood in the bottom of a makeshift diaper and have everyone try to guess the flavor. I'm sure if you googled baby shower you could get some great ideas. Also for food, you could make a meat/cheese tray for sandwhiches, make a casserole or something like that. If you do a buffet type meal then it will be easy going and there will be a couple options for people to choose from. ↑ |

well the mom to be's fav food is tacos so i thought a taco bar, and as for the diaper idea I'm buying diff kind of choc bars and slightly melting them in diapers so they look like poo and they have to guess the candy bar

| oh i love the bottle idea btw i'm not sure i could get these guys to go for it there was also a cute idea to see which woman can dress her man as a baby the fastest and there was prizes for the cutest the ugliest ect. but I don't think they'll go for that either!!! We're talking about a bunch of hard core cowboys, lol!!! ↑ |

| Don't give the guys a choice as to rather or not they participate, lol, just hand them a bottle and tell them to drink, lol, hopefully they will all get int he spirit of the event and put their macho men attitudes aside and have fun. I think that's why people will put beer in the bottles because the guys are getting something they like while doing something they wouldn't necessarily want to do. ↑ |

love the taco bar idea, it is perfect!
we saw who birthed a baby first, freeze mini plastic babies in ice cube trays and race to see who can melt their's first
we played guess how big around i was with ribbion
and...i think that was it.
YOU HAVE TO HAVE CAKE!!!! that is the best part :)
oh and there were kids at my baby shower of all ages, and they all stayed very entertained ↑ |

| nikkis we've played the belly guessing game at other showers before, but shes will only be around 17-18 wks, we're doing the shower early because this will be the only time i see her before she gives birth! she may not be showing to much ↑ |
