Hi Ladies- I had breast implants placed under the muscle about 5 years ago with no complications except for slight numbness in my left nipple. I want to breastfeed my baby that I am expecting. My doctor said I should not have any problems, but I may not produce enough milk. Has anyone had heard of or went though this that could provide a few words of wisdom?

you really shouldnt have any problems. whether you have breast implants or not, some people cant produce their milk right. it depends on how you breastfeed. i wouldnt say that you couldnt produce BECAUSE of your breast implants, some cant produce period. and its not that you cant produce, its how you let yourself keep up with the milk. keep breastfeeding and dont let your milk dry up. dont ever quit for a day or two because thats when youll have trouble. my mother had implants and she breastfeed my two brothers with no problem, so as long as its behind the muscle, it shouldnt be a problem.
