So yep time is flying by and Brooke hit 9 months yesterday. We went to the doc today for a check up.
She is 21 lbs 5 ozs and in the 88th precentile.
She is 27 1.2 inches long and in the 50th percentile.
And her head is 17 3/4 inches around in the 75th precentile.
No shots today since we are all caught up on them, but she did have a finger prick to see if she was anemic. She actually is a little anemic, but they aren't ready to perscribe iron drops at this stage, they will retest at 1 year. She does have to eat meat twice a day and eat more greens. She was perscribed flouride drops because we have well water and she gets ready to feed formula so since she now has 3 teeth she definitely needs the flouride. Also I don't know if all of you remember but Brooke has GERD, and has been on a medication called Prevacid since she was 8 weeks old. Well we got the green light to take her off of it and see how she does. I am very excited!
All in all Brooke is doing great. Growing fast! She crawls, sits up on her own, pulls up, and cruises. She doesn't say any words yet but does make some word sounds. ↓

| She's getting so big. :-) It will be here 1 year birthday before you know it. I had Kadin on these vitamin drops, his doctor actually recommended them when we started taking him off formula, but they may help with her anemia. They are called enfamil poly visol infant drops. They smell disgusting so I would mix them with cereal or something so he didn't have to take them straight and he did fine with them. I know they have them with added iron, but I just used the regular ones. I hope she does good stopping the prevacid, Kadin was on zantac for his gerd and I was so thrilled when we got to stop that. I will keep my fingers crossed that she does okay with out it. :-) ↑ |
