| hey, i know some of ya'll got one of these!!!!!!! ↑ |
how old is chloe now?
i had a bumbo when gabby was younger but once she could sit up on her own she hated it. so she stopped usuing it at about 4-5 months ↑ |
she is almost 6 months now. she just mastered rolling over last month and she hasn't started sitting up yet. maybe if i get one, it will help her learn to sit up?
or do you think it is just a waste of money, b/c i will not buy one if i don't have to. ↑ |
| We had a bumbo for Gabbie. She started using it at 3 months and loved it for the first few weeks, but didn't like it all by 5 1/2 months ish. Sorry to say, but she's probably too old to like it much now. ↑ |
| Unless you could borrow someone's and test it out? ↑ |
i wish i hadnt left mine in north carolina otherwise i would have just sent you mine so you didnt waste the money..
you culd find one for cheap maybe online.
i think it did help Gabs learn to sit up better so it may help chloe. ↑ |
| lol what are those? i dont think ive ever heard of them... ↑ |
Are those those little chair things for babies? That they sit up in?
I think they were recalled in Canada because they were tipping over while babies were sitting in them so they would land face first...i dont know if these are what you are talking about tho ↑ |
| The only recalls I heard of here in Ontario, were from children falling if it tipped over while on an elevated surface. Which is just stupid parenting! It says right on it not to use on an elevated surface. But, people were still putting them on beds, kitchen tables etc. ↑ |
| Oh, I see, thats really dumb lol I didnt hear that but that makes sense! ↑ |
| I had the Bebe Pod and i love it and i liked the two tone color options better than the bumbo, and now they have the bebe pods with the trays! ↑ |
The Bumbos were recalled, but now they are avaliable for resale again... the only reason they were recalled was because some stupid lady put her baby in it on top of a table and waled away and the baby tipped over in it and got hurt.
but any ways if she is 6 1/2 months thats probably alittle too old for her, Tyler is done with his, i first put him in it at 6 weeks and he was done with it by i would say almost 7 months, but he was crawling by then and wanted nothing to do with it, but since shes not doing that yet you could give it a try, go to the store open one and put in in the shopping cart and put her in it for the whole shopping trip and see how she does in it so you can get an idea about how she likes it ↑ |
Hiya...
Well my youngest daughter has been using hers (a bumbo) for about 2 weeks now, she's just turned 3 months. She loves it....I tried it with her at 2.5 months as she is a very strong baby and can support herself very well, but she just cried! But now she loves it. However so do my oldest children (2 1/2) and they like to fight over it.
If you get a bumbo...make sure that chloe is never left onher own in it...as I've heard they can tip them over....
Okay I just read she is nearly 6 months....I'd be a bit wary of buying one....they are really for younger babies from 3 months+ to help them strengthen muscles in preperation for sitting up....but see if you can pick one up cheap and see how she likes it. Good luck xx ↑ |
| I have a bumbo, and Brooke never liked it. Honestly I can send you mine and I have the tray. ↑ |
thanks nikki, but i think i'm gonna take eveyrone's advice....chloe is most likely too old for one. see, i had always thought 3 months was too young for her to be in one, but i guess that's when i should've bought one. so, i waited too late. she actually can't even sit still in any of her gear (carseat, bouncer, swing, highchair, activity mat, stroller, sling carrier, etc.), so i don't know why i would think she would sit in a bumbo or bebe pod. lol. so, i'm not even gonna waste the money.
nikkis, thanks for the offer, but i'd rather you sell it or give it to someone with a younger baby that would actually benefit from it. thanks for thinking of me.
thanks everyone for your advice......i'm glad i asked first. ↑ |
