I'm looking to see what birth control I want to use after birth and which ones may have failed you. I've only ever met one person who actually used birth control, (the shot), and got pregnant. Everyone else I know either admits to being careless or planning theirs.

I got pregnant while on the pill. At the time of conception, I was under a lot of stress from my grandpa passing away. I figured it was God's way to tech me about the circle of life. He was right.

I hear what you're saying Toshia, I am somewhat sceptical too when it comes to 'accidents'. I have been of the view that women who are supposed to be taking contraception and fall pregnant don't want to admit they were careless because the unplanned pregnancy is then their 'fault'. At a time where emotions are raised with fear and anticipation of a new baby people say the wrong things at times and as women we talk to each other, learn this and try to avoid it if it happens to us, so I guess that's where my doubts come from.

We actually tried to get pregnant for some time testing for ovulation etc. so I did not have to worry about this particular discussion eventuating, but it is a mystery why anything happens. Having said all that though Toshia if you are concerned about getting pregnant while on contraception beware that all the available contracpetions come with a warning indicating how effective they are in a percentage, so just bare that in mind. Take care :)

I was on the shot and I was working full time and one of the days I had to go in for the shot I had to work so instead of calling in to work I cancelled my appointment and low and be-hold I got preggers. LOL so it was my fault but I'm so happy for the accident, it's brought my fiance and I so much closer and we're getting married after the baby is about .

I planned my first pregnancy. It was a lot of work. I wanted a second child but wasn't sure when. I wasn't using birth control when I got pregnant the second time. It took over 2 years of unprotected sex to casually conceive with my hubby.

Suzy when you got pregnant on the pill did you miss any days taking it? I took the pill a decade ago but didn't have the disapline to take it the same time each day. How long did you take it before getting pregnant? I heard you have to stop after 5 years or it is ineffective. I've found condoms to be most effective and convient but am researching other options right now.
