Is there a certain position that the baby should be in like facing up or facing down?

Or does it switch positions all the time?

depends on how far along you are. im 5 months and my baby is facing down. the doctor said its normal as long as he is facing down when its time to deliver

Ok, I am also 5 months and my baby is facing down as well. I was just looking at some other ultrasound photo's and most of the babies were facing up so I wasn't sure.

Good to know though, i was a little curious. Thanks!

Your baby will move all over up untill there is no room left to flop and squirm! But when your due he/ she should be head down and facing your back

PLAYMATEX3X...sorry I am just kinda worried about this, I'm sure I dont need to but i tend to be like that sometimes lol.

So your baby is also facing down right? That is the way mine is facing but I was looking at other ultrasound photo's and the babies are all lying on their backs facing up...I dont have a doctors appointment until Wednesday but your doctor told you this was normal, right??

I am sorry for bugging you lol I just worry a lot lol

You shouldn't be worried at all your baby will move in all diff. positions before you actually deliver, chances are that if you went in today she'd be in a completly diff. position. And head down is where you want them in the end anyway.

My baby was head down from 29 weeks and he stayed that way. They normally settle down in the head down position in the 3rd trimester. Until then they switch a lot.

I'm only 10 weeks and I haven't been to have an ultrasound yet. I've only been to the regular doctor. How far along do you have to be to know what it is and feel the baby kick?

Im excited to find out too! Lol. My 3D ultrasound is on the 14th, so they will be able to tell me then...I cant wait!

An ultrasound can tell the sex of the baby anywhere from 16 weeks on, although they usually won't tell you untill around 18-20 weeks in case they are wrong but in my case I went in at 21 weeks and they could not tell me the sex because of the position of the baby. And as far as feelilng the baby I believe normally on your first child you start feeling it around 18-22 weeks, though some people feel it earlier, around 16 weeks, and some feel it later, around 24 weeks. I didnt feel mine untill around 20 weeks, and even now at 22 weeks I only feel him/her very lightly. So everyone is totally different

my baby is always pressing on my bladder. its like his favorite place to be he stays there almost all day. And he is always moving so i always feel like i have to go to the bathroom. This is my second baby. With my first she was in the same place for the whole nine months. And when she was born i was left with a little dent on my belly where her head was.
