Because of the NHS here in Ireland being crap as always, Joey got his 12-month review at 13 months, but well!

He got his HIB/Men C Booster. Ouch! Had a few complaints to make about that but did well.

And he was weighed and is 23lb at 13 months! That's the 50th centile, so average.

It's called Plagiocephaly, and no change. It's still a bit flat at the right side, despite the fact that he is rarely on his back. He sleeps on his front (with his legs tucked under him - it's so cute) and is always up and active during the day. The doctor says it'll hopefully correct itself over time.

No idea how tall he is. They never measured him. :( He gets another review and anothe vaccination in 3 months, maybe then. :)

I find Joey's weigh gain has slowed WAY down in the past few months. Do you find that with your kids?

yes gabs has ben between 20-22 lbs since she was 12 months. the doctor told me the more active they are the slower they're weight gain...and gabs is everywhere all the time...doesnt slow down til she is asleep

we didn't get around to tylers12 MO appt till he was 15 MO so both appts were combined! Tyler and Gabby weigh the same

How tall is joey?? yay for being average, Tyler is like in the %30 but before he was always in the %80's

They didn't measure him in his appt there, but when he was around 10 months old he was 73.3cm. Although I imagine he'll have grown a bit since then.

Sounds like Joey is doing alright.

Christian weighed 23lbs and was 33inch long. I forget the percentile…I really don’t pay attention to that much anyways. But he got his 1 year review/shots when he was 15 months lol….so him getting it at 13 months sounds right on time!

At the reveiw is it just shots and weight? Or is there any extra? Just wondering the protocal for Ireland.

Vaccinations in Ireland are at 2 months, 3 months, 4 months, 12 months, 15 months, 4-5 years, and then the Diph / Tetanus / polio boosters at 14-18 years. Joey normally gets weighed when he gets his vaccinations too just to keep an eye on his growth.

But children here also get full assessments (listen to heart, full examination, checks hearing etc) when newborn, 8 weeks, 3 months, 4 months, 15 months, and then a school readiness assessment at 4 years.

What's the protocol in the States?

Birth
1 month
2 months
4 months
6 months
12 months
15 months
18 months
19–23 months
and up until 6 years old they can get vacs.

But then it depends on if you miss a shot or not were you fall into on the age chart. They are sometimes if you miss a vac its not required to make up for it.

I never heard of the 4 year old assement though, we may have it, lol.
