Hi ladies. Has anyone here pregnant, initially had a negative pregnancy test result? If so, when did it finally show that you were in fact pregnant? What might be reasons for having pregnancy symptoms without really being pregnant? ↓

Hi Shanna,
I was at the doctors office because I was just not feeling "right". He gave me a pregnancy test on wednesday which was negative. The following tuesday, I took another on my own because I missed my period and sure enough I am pregnant. There was not enough hormones in my system when I initially took the test. I have heard that you can take a home preg test the day after your missed period and have pretty accurate results. Do you think you are pregnant? ↑ |

| hey shanna. i had two negative pregnancy test but at the time i found out that i was 12 weeks. i just never got sick. what kind of symptoms are you having pregnancy related? some women have to go to the doctor in order to find out. some of them you cant tell by just urine, most of the time they need blood. go to your doctor. ↑ |

| Thank you so much for replying ladies. I have just about ALL of the symptoms. BUT, I have a negative urine result, AND Ive been on the pill. (although I wasnt taking them correctly). I have had a few dizzy spells, have missed 2 periods, nauseausness (but no vomitting, just a lot of saliva), moody, fatigue, frequent urination, etc. But Im worried because today, I feel mild cramping. If I AM pregnant, I should be 8 or 9 weeks. Cramping isnt normal is it??? We are going for a blood test on Thursday, but the suspense is CONSUMING ME!!!! | I have had cramping since before I knew I was pregnant. In fact, I thought my period was coming. They have been severe at times, but I have had no spotting or bleeding. I have had blood work and a sonogram and me and the baby are perfectly healthy. The cramping is caused by your uterus expanding and the ligaments stretching. I was working out, and losing weight before all of this started happening. I felt very... fit! Now, I feel like im just FAT. I cant even hold my stomach in at all. | Unfortunately, I do not have AIM. I have MSN messenger and Yahoo Messenger. I am 26 years old. Full time graduate student, full time employee, and my boyfriend and I live together. We have been together for 8 years. He's hoping that I am in fact pregnant. I, on the other hand, am unsure because I would prefer a planned, WED, pregnancy. Im not for the "baby daddy" syndrome. ↑ |

| hello yea i have had a negative pregnacy test with my first one and a matter a fact i have had a negative pregnacy test just recently but i have all the affects of pregnacy so i am pretty much sure that i am and that sometimes tests are negative and you might wanna try to wait awhile and see if your period comes and are you late?? well any way anwser me back ok and i will try to help you out ↑ |

| im two weeks late for my period had a pt today it was negitive allso had 1 done 2 weeks before the missed period (negitive) i had unprotect sex on the 10th day of my cycle,a week later i had very light spotting for 2 days which i thought was implantation..i feel like i am...ive had all the signs except for being sick..could some body tell me something i dont no, it would really help x thanks ↑ |

| hey shanna--i feel you on the negative preg tests thing---ive missed 1 period, on the pill (although i also am not the greatest at taking it right). Ive had all the symptoms, and am pretty sure that ive felt movement--but i keep getting negative preg tests---i dont know whats up. I would have to be 3-4 months along---because thats the last time i had sex. My question is---can being on birth control screw up a pregnancy test? how do you find out for sure? ↑ |

| I was vomiting for about a week straight and the doctor did a pregnancy test which came back negative then they did an endoscopy (where they stick a scope down into your stomach to see what the problem was) and before they did that they did another pregnancy test which came back negative (cause they have to sedate you to do the scope) the next day I went to the hospital I was vomiting blood and they did a blood test and sure enough I was 2 weeks pregnant and not even late on my period :) ↑ |

| Snow, most pregnancy tests would have shown by now if you were pregnant. But that is not always the case. If you want to know for sure, I suggest you call you doctor and they can draw blood and perhaps schedule a transvaginal sonogram. Also, excessive worrying or stress can can delay the onset of your period. Call your doctor. ↑ |

| I take the b.c. pills and last week I was supposed to have my period. I started the "period" pills on saturday and it's friday(last day) and it sill hasn't come. It has been regular until now and during this cycle I forget 2 active pills. I took a pt on monday it was negative and then I took another one today and it was negative also. I have a docter's appointment for next Friday, but I wonder how likely it will be that I am pregnant. I am 18 (about to be 19) and I have so much on my mind...I just want to know ASAP....could I be pregnant??? ↑ |

| Well, Im not pregnant as it turns out. And finally got a period (light though). I am scheduled for a pelvic ultrasound for tomorrow. They are unsure as of now, why my period is off. I may just be going BACK to being irregular. However, Ive also had nausea and cramping. She suggested that my body may be changing and need a different pill for hormones. However, its also possible that I have fibroids that are too small to detect manually. Ive been researching polycystic ovarian syndrome and it sounds alot like me. Pregnancy symptoms are so close to so many other symptoms. So, I'll let you know what the ultrasound shows. But I am definitelly not pregnant. But since Im having all these issues, once resolved, I just may start trying. Im now afraid of losing fertility at an early age (being that I also have mild cervical dysplasia) ↑ |
