| Im really getting worried now its been 18 days and I havent got my periods I am 22 years old,am not on any medication nor have stress and am jsut resting at gome (not woring or naything)still not getting periods for such alng time isnt healthy my results as I said beofre came out negative both blood and urine.Doctors doesnt seem to take interest but I am really worried what if I result premenant damage. ↑ |

| hi, I totally FEEL like i'm pregnant.. i can't explain it. but i took a First Response pregnancy test and it was negative. Today is when i would be expecting my period, but i do not even feel it coming along, i NEVER skip periods and i can always tell when my period about to come 3 days ahead of time and i do not feel like this at all. I have a metallic taste in my mouth, nauseau at the same time every night and taste changes... could this all be in my head or should i go get a blood test? ↑ |

| Thanks ladies.. I still havn't gotten my period and I can tell I'm not about to get it, but I still am feeling weird in my stomach- almost like before I got my period, but not quite. I am going to schedule a doctors appointment and wait a couple days before I take another home test. If any one else has anything to say about my situation I'd love to hear. Thanks so much! ↑ |

For those of you who are experiencing symptoms of pregnancy or simply "feel" pregnant, but have so far received false negative HPT results, you might still be pregnant despite the negative results.
Last year (Oct. '04), I started noticing pregnancy symptoms, and took a HPT. It was negative. I waited a week, took another; again negative. Even so, I was convinced that I was pregnant.
My situation was 'complicated' by the fact that I was actively breastfeeding my then 5-month-old, & hadn't had a period since I got pregant with him (son #1). (I actually haven't had a period since July '03, because of being pregnant or breastfeeding since then. Lucky me; however, I had 5 straight months of almost constant morning sickness when pregnant with #1.)
Figuring that I'd *have* to get a positive test eventually, I kept testing, following the directions precisely each time. I even tried different brands of HPTs, but always tested first thing in the morning. Finally, after testing for the span of a month, I finally got a positive, which my dr then confirmed in Nov. All along, I acted as if I were pregnant, and I was right, although about a dozen tests were 'wrong'. I was about 6 weeks from conception when I finally got the positive. Son #2 was born at the end of June ('05).
Now, I feel the same way that I felt a year ago; however, the HPT that I just took this morning was negative. Even so, I'm still convinced that I'm pregnant *again*, and will schedule a dr appt for a blood test, since by my calculations, I'm at least 2months pregnant, if indeed I am as I suspect. Why I'm getting a negative if I'm 2months along stymies me; however, I believe that it's because I'm breastfeeding #2 even more actively than I did #1.
SO, a negative HPT despite pregnancy symptoms may be a 'false negative'; if you experience this, I would act as if you are pregnant, until a dr can confirm otherwise.

| I've been thinking I was pregnant but then my period came but it wasn't the same.First it was short,scanty, and light.Then it was long and heavy but I was in alot of ain for 3days.I didn't get it all October but then I got it today and it was unusually heavy for the first day.Then I became sick and kept vomitting and hadn't eaten.I'm 14 going on 15 whats happening? ↑ |

hey liz,
i think that you have the same situation thats going on with me. i suggest you take a blood test a.s.a.p. because they will be able to tell you for sure. the blood tests will be able to trace any amount of HCG in your body through your blood stream. it will also tell you how far along you are. you can get a blood test done as early as 6 to 8 days after ovulation. so i really hope that you do consider this. it may cost quite a lot *for me its 56* but it will be worth it in the end if you know

| I did my test and it came out negative. I am married and we both want kid. My period was expected on 2 Nov and today it is 4 Nov. My periods r irregular from past 6 months. But last 2 were correct. I feel very sleepy but no other feeling. I am very curious to know whether I am pregnant. One more thing is that I am having white discharge. I am not getting what is happenning with me. | I went to the doctor, and I got a positve blood test! So to anyone who gets negative or unclear results at home but still FEELS or thinks they are pregnant, no matter how early, I definately suggest going to the doctor. Good luck to all.. ↑ |

My Last Period Started on September 25th----we definately did the act that would cause me not to have my period..so when the end of October rolled around and another period didnt come., I thought for sure I was...so I waited until last weekend-took a test-negative....hmmmm so this week took another ...negative-
Im so confused-if my calcs are right conception should have happened 4 weeks ago----ladies do you think the home tests are wrong? ↑ |

| I havent had my period yet. It was suppose to come on oct.31 my last one was oct.3. I feel pregnant i have been craving ice sleepy and nauseated. I took a urine test at the doctors and it was negative the blood test came back negative i am convinced i am indeed pregnant if it doesn't come in 3 weeks im gonna request a sonogram ↑ |

| I am having some of the same problems I have taken 2 tests and they are both neg. a few days ago I had terrible cramps like i was getting my period and nothing.....my boobs are sore and im very sick to my stomach i should get my period thurs. or friday. I am 24 and my last period was Oct.3 my cycle has been every 25 days since I stopped take Agysten. I stopped taken it back in June, thought I would never be so glad to see my period come back. I have been haveing all pregnancy symptoms. Staying tired, eating alot, moodiness, nausea, and the biggest of all no period. I have taken 3 pregnancy test which all was negative. Could it be possibile that hCG levels aren't high enough yet? My sister was 9 weeks pregnant before she found out, could this happen to me also? ↑ |

| Hi all, I am wondering as well.. I am not on birth control, just use the withdrawl method..My last period was Oct 5th. I always start between the 1st-6th of the month (depending on how many days the prev month had) And i have not started yet.. I am somewhere between 5-10 days late wth no cramps or feeling that im about to start. have taken 3 preg test (First Response) and all came up Neg. I have had some symptoms a few days ago such as..frequent headaches, weird sensation in abdomen, missed period obviosly, diziness a few times a few days ago and heartburn.. I have never been this many days late. I am definately going to schedule a doc appt for blood test if i dont start in the next few days becuase this is very odd for me.. i always start at the begining of the month like clockwork...never the middle of the month.. I have read several stories about women getting a negative read at 3 months preg even. So i am going to act as though i might be and see what happens in the next few days.. Good Luck ladies! ↑ |

| I wa supposed to start my period on Oct. 30. When it did not come, I waited several days and took a pregnancy test. It was inconclusive. So over the next several days, I took 3 more. Two were neg, one was positive, but very faint. I went to the doctor yesterday and found out that I am indeed pregnant; however my doctor was concerned that my levels were too low, so she ordered a quanitative hcg blood test. Last night, she called me at home and told me that my levels are 41. I have to go to the hospital on Sunday for another test. I am approxiamately 51/2 weeks along. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, does my pregnancy stand a chance? ↑ |

| i have had 3 miscarriages. the first was a tubal and at 6 weeks prego i had the baby and my right tube removed. the second one was at 4 weeks and the third one, i also started bleeding about 3 days after i found out i was prego. they did the same blood test you had and it came back as a level of 28, which is extremely low. i took another one 2 days later and my level was a 10. she informed me that i had miscarried, as the levels should double every two days. with this pregnancy, i had my levels checked at 4 weeks just for my peace of mind, and it was 650, then 2 days later, it was 1600 so they knew it was a viable pregnacy. anything is possible and i am not a nurse or doctor, but for over 5 weeks prego, your levels seem to be very low unless you just conceived in the last few days or so. good luck and i hope your news is good ↑ |

| Thank you so much for your story. It gives me some idea of what I may be facing. I know this sounds very crazy, but today I bought another pregnancy test. I know crazy huh! My thinking was if I take the test and the test comes up positive quickly and has a more vivid positive then maybe just MAYBE my levels are going up. I took the test and within one minute there was a very definitive positive. I don't know if this means what I want it to mean, but I will keep you posted. My appointment is tomorrow at 12:30 and the doctor assures me she will call sometime in the afternoon. Please keep praying!!! ↑ |

| you are not crazy. i did the same exact thing. i even took a test about a week after my tube was removed and it came out positive because i still had hormones left from the pregnancy. i knew they had removed the baby along with my tube but i still felt pregnant. sore boobs etc. and i was very emotional. i felt in some way that maybe there had been a baby in my tube and one in my uterus and they didnt see that one. of course i wasnt still pregnant but i was desperate. i wanted my baby back. i took another test several days later and it finally came up negative. now thats crazy, but no one understands unless they have been through a loss like that. please let me know either way what the doc says about your levels. good luck. i will keep my fingers crossed ↑ |

| Hey i am 17 and i am a little over 8 weeks pregnant i am due June 25th 2005 well l had all of the symtoms of being pregnant so i just knew i was so i took a test on the 9th of Oct and it came back Neg i was like there is NO way that is possible so i took another one on the 20th and it came back Pos and i went to the doctors and sure enough i was pregnant i was 4 weeks when i found out.... ↑ |

hey girl, i know exactly what you're talking about.
i took 6 preg tests and they all came back negative. and today, i got a phone call from planned parenthood and they told me they had a mixup and that it was POSITIVE!!!
im excited :)
so maybe you are, you just have to test again
