| KTmom2two - I'm happy to see that they have agreed to another ultrasound and blood work. Hopefully they will find something or at least figure out what the heck is going on. Rose1- Although some pregnancy test you can take 5 days before your missed period they could still come back with a negative result because you HCG level is not high enough to be detected. This is why most of the time, unless you already had a positive HPT, the doctor wants to wait at least 2 weeks from the first day of your missed period. I would recommend waiting a couple of days and take another. If it comes back positive obviously your going to want to call you doctor to set up an appointment (they may just have you go for blood work and then schedule an appointment afterwards). If it comes back negative once again you could wait to see if maybe your just late this month (stress, illness, excercise can all affect your cycle) and then call your doctor if you still haven't had your period. Or you can call you doctor right away to set up an appointment to pin point what the reason might be that your late, which could be just that your pregnant. ↑ |

| Well, I got my blood test results back today and it was negative. I know my husband and I were not actively trying to get pregnant, but once the thought took root that I might be, I couldn't help but be so upset that I am not. My doctor did say that a lot of the symptoms I have been having are also thyroid related. I am currently on medication but she thinks my dose may need to be adjusted. So as soon as I get that all figured out, I will defiantely be trying to conceive!!! ↑ |

| my husband and I started trying and the first month we got a negative but the second month we were positive. Thats actually considered getting pregnant pretty quick, for lots of people it can take up to a year. ↑ |

| Maybe you can help me? I m/c in March after 8 weeks, having not suffered from any pregnancy symptoms apart from 2 days of nausea. I haven't had a period since June 7th. I've taken 4 preg tests and all negative, however, I do feel tingles in my breasts and have weird feelings in my lower stomach only in the last 2 days though. We did have sex during my fertile time...... I'm going crazy as we really want a baby. ↑ |

| I "feel" pregnant, but it very well could just be wishful thinking. My last period was June 22, but that is the only month I have ever taken note of my period, so I have no idea how many days are in my cycle----hence, I don't know when I should start. I have done, oh, I think about 12 (no joke) HPTs and all negative. I don't have too many symptoms, and the ones I do have I fear are all psychosomatic.....any advice?? ↑ |

| To Mirabeau- I would wait for about a week and then test again. If you dont get your period by then, then see the doctor for a blood test. You might just be testing too soon. ↑ |

| EthansMom0213~ So i went to get my ultrasound and we saw a baby! Only thing was it had no heartbeat and I should have been 9 weeks today and I was measuring at almost 7 weeks, so things don't look good, the tech looked and looked for the heartbeat and saw nothing but I'm still waiting for my doctor to call me back and tell me this news as the techs reallya ren't supposed to say anything and being a friday afternoon I think it's going to be monday before I hear from him...and he said it was all in my head since I had negative blood tests! ↑ |

| hello all i am wondering if any one can help, i got to a specialist every month to find out when i am ovulating and when to have sex i always know when i period is coming cause my breasts get very sore, it is now day 29 and i have always had my period no later then day 27 but did a test this morning but it was negitive.......... i also had a cist on my left ovarie could i be pregnant or should i just wait and see if i get my period ↑ |

| Has anyone experienced a missed period due to anxiety over trying to become pregnant? The waiting is driving me crazy. June 22 was my last period. An EPT would be positive by now if I am pregnant, right? Did one this morning and still negative. Today is July 23. I am always very regular, so I'm wondering if I'm literally making myself sick over this. ↑ |

| Loritolay and Ethan's Mom..... It was positive! My HcG level was 875. By the weekend it was at 1500 and now I'm at 2978! The bleeding may have been from a UTI. Amoxicillin has helped with that. I have mild cramps, but hoping its just a lot of work going on in there! They can't see the gestational sac yet, but I'm hoping they'll see it at my next transvaginal ultrasound. thanks for the support. ↑ |

| Mirabeau - I too am close in proximity with your cycle! My last period was June 21 and I have a regular 29 day cycle - may I mention, NEVER LATE! My period WAS due 20 July...today is the 25 and I am LATE!! Bf and I have been trying for 9 months now and still - nothing :-( Doc prescribed clomid, says I have polycystical ovaries but I haven't gotten a chance to take the clomid....not sure if I am just late, prego, or what?! ↑ |

| Please respond!!!!! I havent had a period since May 12, 2006. It is now Aug. I have taken a preg test about every two weeks since may. I have taken it first thing, last thing, in between things. I am driving my self nutz!!!!! I would be almost 3 months along and nothing. I have had not one sympton to say that i am except for the NO PERIOD!!!!! I plan on making an appointment with the doc by the end of the month when the insurance kicks in. Any one know of anything to help me figure this thing out????? ↑ |

| Alot of women who want to get pregnant or that are worried that their pregnant hear all the symptoms and say to themselves hmmmm I must be pregnant, I did the same thing the first month I tried to get pregnant, than the second month when I actually was I didnt have any symptoms. I didnt get the morning sickness till about 6 weeks, and I havent had the cravings *for pickles,lol* until now at almost 13 weeks.....so really the symptoms arent any way to base your pregnancy probabilitys. best of luck... ↑ |

| Hi - I am currently seeking treatment with a fertility doctor and I had my last period on the 7/10/06, started Chlomid on days 3-9, intercouse starting on the 19th, HCG Shot on the 22th and IUI on the 24th. I have taken 3 pregnancy tests on the 3rd, 5th and 7th of August and all negative. Could I still be pregnant? I am very tired, bloated and moody and have been getting headaches. I go for a blood test on the 9th. Do you think I could be pregnant????? ↑ |

| I posted on here recently about a late period. I ended up not being pregnant, but my period was 2 weeks late on the dot. Does that mean I ovulated 2 weeks after I should have? In that case I would have ovulated the day I was supposed to start my period right? Im just confused about if my period will be on the 25th now instead of the 10th, or if last month was just a one time thing and my period will come on the 10th again? I dont know im just all confused now lol. Please help me understand myself! | Hi everyone (: i have a question and was wondering if anyone could help me out if you've ever been in this situation. Ive been researching it online but i still cant really find the answers im looking for. Im usually always right on time every 28 days but now im a week and half late today.. ive taken 2 pregnancy test just to make sure and to make me feel more comfortable about the situation but they've both came back negative. | Hello everyone, My last period was June 6th and I have taken 3 preg test and all neg. I have now missed two periods. I went to the doc on Aug. 1st and it was a neg. for a urine test. I was wondering if I could still be preg? How often is it that a preg doesn't show up for two whole months? ↑ |

| lizshouse88 - There could be several reason as to why you were 2 weeks late. 1) if you started to excercise or changed your excercise routine. 2) If you were sick this could push your period off. 3) If you were under alot of stress. 4) if you ovulated later for whatever reason. I had been regular for sometime and after TTC for a couple of months my OB doctor noticed that I was ovulate later and later into my cycle. Some months I didn't ovulate at all. The first day of your period is the start of your next cycle so yes your cycle will now start on a 25th (give or take a day). Unless of course you again ovulate later. Blair - Usually at 2 weeks or later you should be able to get an accurate reading with an HPT. So I would wait a little longer and take another test. If it still comes back negative and your still late call your doctor. It could be just a matter of stress but it also could be something such as cysts. Victoria 31- I am not sure as to how uncommon it is to go two months with out getting your period but it's hasn't been unheard of. My sister actually didn't have a positive HPT until she was well into her third month. My cousin's wife found out that she stopped ovulating completely. If you think you might be pregnant request a blood test. Your HCG level could be low because of an Etopic pregnancy. However, you may not be pregnant and there is another cause for why you are still n ot getting it. I would definately go back and talk with my doctor. I suffer from both endometriosis as well as cyst, both can mess with your cycle. ↑ |

| I have never been this late. My last period was June 6th. So if it was an ectopic pregnancy wouldn't it be hurting by now? Would I be bleeding? I haven't been spotting or bleeding at all since my period in June. They tested my thyroid when they took the last preg test and the thyroid was normal. I did not like my doctor and hardly ever went before this, I had no need. I have recently switched doctors but I can't go to the new one until September because of insurance policy. ↑ |

| Victoria31- Chance are that it's not an etopic pregnancy but something hormonal. It is possible that your just stopped ovulating, if this is the case your doctor can give you something to start the ovulation process up again. Could be a Phantom Pregnancy. I'm not trying to be funny but alot of women have experience such a thing. They miss there periods for months, some every have other pregnancy symptoms only to find out that every test come back negative. It is more common to happen to women who are in the thirties or early 40's ↑ |

So i guess im just going to give it time and see if my period comes or not. I talked to my friend who is due to have a baby Sept. 5th and she told me it takes a month sometimes for results to show. | Victoria31- A phantom pregnancy is a pregnancy that isn't a true pregnancy. One who experience a phantom pregnancy will have all the symptoms of an actually pregnancy. They may miss there period for several months, experience morning sickness, tenderness and enlarging of the breast. Some may even may experience growing in the abdomen just like a real pregnant women would. Majority of the time the women who believe she is pregnant will continue to have negative HPT and blood test. Then there are the few that actually do have a postive test only to find out with an ultrasound that there is no baby and no evidence one ever existed. Doctor are not really sure as to what the cause of a phantom pregnancy is but have found that it is more common in women in their early 30s and 40s. On the religious side it is believe that a spirit actually enters your body for short period of time until they find there way to where they are going. Blair- An HPT will only detect HCG in your urine when it's at a certain level. Which in some women can take as long as a month or more. My sister didn't have a positive HPT until she was almost three months. A blood test actually measure the amount of HCG in your blood. In order for them to consider it positive I believe it has to be at a certain number. So if HCG is detected in your blood they may request that you come back a litte later to take another test. Some women have found that they had negative HPT but a positive blood test. Only to find out through an ultrasound that the baby never developed or stopped growing. ↑ |

| Hello everyone. I lost a baby to miscarriage almost a year ago. (Oct 19 2006). Me and my husand have been "trying" since December. I've always had irregular periods. I have went 60 days without a period, and negative HPTS, I think it was all the stress. Well, the past 2 monthes, we have been relaxing (it was really starting to get to me) and guess what? My period came regular, only 33 days. Well! Here comes the irritating news. This cycle, I've been completely calm, until my period didn't show. I am now on my 49th day. I took a pregnancy test last Sunday, and as of 4 days ago, my boobs have gotten really, really sore! I mean like rock hard, always erect, swollen huge, sore! I am going to wait to test again... but it feels good to know other people are obsessing as well. haha I took 2 tests the week my period was "missed", and 1 on last Sunday. So, I'm very curious to whats going on. I know sore breasts are a symptom of impending period, but Ive never had my breasts so hard and sore, its hard for me to even get out of bed. What do you think? hah ↑ |
