I was wondering if anyone used a pack and play as a bassinet for the first few months. I have been planning to, but now that I read the info on it, it says that they are good for naps, does that mean the newborn shouldn't sleep in it over night...even though they will probably only be asleep for a few hours at a time anyway. I'm due in 2 weeks, so I think I am just flipping out over things now, but i just wanted to see what everyone had to say! Thanks ↓

| i use the pack and play and bassinet! although weve gotten use to her sleeping on a pillow in the living room. she doesnt like her bassinet much. maybe your bambino will :) ↑ |

| i had a pack and play with a little bassinet like area on it and that what my first daughter slept in every night until she started sleeping through the night and went into her own room in the crib...that was some where between 2 and 3 months. she's 3yrs old now so it must of worked okay lol ↑ |

| i used it for the first 2 or 3 months because i was breastfeeding and it was easier to put her to bed in it at the foot of our bed instead of walking all the way back to her room. she woke up every 1-2 hours for a LONG time --well, it seemed like it at the time... i think napping is all newborns do...they take short naps all through the day and night.. once she started sleeping for longer periods of time i just put her in it if i was wanting to lay down for a nap too, otherwise i put her in her own bed to get her used to it. ↑ |

| i had used the playpen bassinet combo for the first 5 months and my little girl is just fine. she is now in her crib but it was very nice to be able to have her close by for as long as i had. ↑ |

Yep. Welcome to the Babycrowd nightmare.
As for the play yard... Kaden is sleeping in his right now... It doesn't give them the back support they need so you should try and get them on a firm mattress, but it's good for short periods. My son is in it b/c it's so freaking hot in his room. ↑ |
