ok so I made a post like this a long long time ago now, but theres alot of you that are new since then so I thought it would be fun to do it again.

I wanna know what is the best meal you all cook, do your kids and husbands/boyfriends love it.

I love cooking but w/ 7 ppl in the house you can imagine I can't please them all at the same time when it comes to meals so I'm always looking for something new that everyone would like.

One of my family favs is : Sausage sauted in onions, red bell pepper , 1 can rotel tomatos, 1/3 can of beer served over the top of wacky noodles (this noodle is weird shaped noodles and diff. colors none of the kids have any idea that their diff. colors because their veggie noodles!!!) great way to snaek in the veggies the other flavors are so strong you just taste the noodle.

My family loves it when I make my homemade chicken strips! They are soooo good and easy. It takes some time to fry them all but they are so mouth watering and yummy! We have them with mashed potatoes and corn. We use crushed saltines and seasonings for the coating on some striped up breasts. Deep fried chicken strips are my familys favorite meal!

salisbury steak .... any kind of red meat sliced in thin strips, saute with onions in just a tiny bit of butter...drain off the grease/butter
in a bowl put two of the JARS (not cans) of mushroom gravy, mix in 1/4 cup ketchup and 5Tbsp teriyaki sauce mix up really good, then pour over steak in skillet..cook until everything is combined.....i'll serve it over mashed potatoes or noodles (best over taters)

Hashbrown casserole.....grease a cake pan...dump in a bag of FROZEN shredded hasbrowns (the ones in the refrigerated section get soggy if u use them) top with some chopped onion. In a mixing bowl mix one can cream of chicken soup, 1 stick softened butter, and an 8oz container of sour cream. Pour over hashbrowns, salt and pepper.
Top with 3/4 bag of cheddar cheese (sharp cheddar is best) bake at 400 for 30-35 minutes. stir to mix, then pour in rest of cheese and mix again...cook for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is all the way melted

Roasted potatoes- cut up baby red potatoes, leave skins on, top with onion and chopped mushrooms drop in a couple tablespoons butter...season with whatever you want....i use mrs dash, seasoned salt, garlic salt, steak seasoning, then top with bacon (raw) cover and bake for about 35-45 minutes at 400, then take off foil, stir and cook until potatoes are cooked andbacon is done...if u want things a lil crispier, turn on the broiler the last 2-3 minutes.
take off

speaking of the homeade chicken strips, we'll take strips and coat them in ranch dressing, then roll in shake n bake, cook according to the box instructions, they're DELICIOUS, and the ranch keeps the chicken moister..and then u don't even need a dipping sauce

OMG WHEN WE FIRST MOVED INTO our own plave I put our crock pot in the oven because i thought it wasn't cooking fast enough......I didn't even think about the fact that the lid was plastic as well as the feet on the bottom and the place where you pull the cord out which i did......so i looked right at it......i'm not sure where my brain was that day?

lmao M25, that's great. The sad thing is I've had plenty of practice, Sunday is our 6 year anniversary and I lived on my own before we got married so you think I'd be a better cook by now, lol.

I like to make chicken n dumplins for my family. It's easy, cheap, you can make it in bulk, and it tastes great! All you do to make a big batch is boil one chicken in a large soup pot with celery, salt and pepper until the chicken is done. Then you take the chicken out and let it cool before pulling it off the bone. If you are too busy, or don't want to do the work of pulling the chicken, then you can use boneless and skinless breasts. However, the whole chicken adds more flavor. For more flavor and richness, add about a cup or two of boxed chicken stock, and bring the liquid back to a boil. (The chicken is not in the pot!) Then you can make your own dumplins or buy some in the grocery store. If you buy them, follow the directions on the package. To make them yourself combine self-rising flour with oil and buttermilk (more buttermilk than oil!) until you have a thick, sticky dough. Drop spoonfuls of dough into the boiling broth mixture and continue to boil for about 10 minutes until the dumplins are finished. Turn off the heat and add the pieces of chicken, and voila! You have a delicious meal that will fill up an army, and you can freeze and re-serve any leftovers another time!

I do easy meals like crock pots.. and frozen meals you put in the oven for an hour... I know it's cheating... but being pregnant and cooking for just me and my husband is a pain when we can eat out for cheaper... I am a good cook though... my husbands favorite thing is alfredo with chicken, shrimp and sausage, its soooo good!!!!
