Name: ladyblueblood [ Original Post ] This is a question for women who have had a baby before, so first time moms, sorry to leave you out of this one, but It may be helpful nonetheless. I was curious as to what size of clothing you took to the hospital or birthing center for your newborn baby to wear home? My son was nearly 8 pounds when he was born and still fit rather comfortably into a few preemie size outfits I'd been given "just in case". I had a 0-3 months sleeper I had taken with me for him to wear home and it just swallowed him whole, so I sent my husband (at the time) home to get one of the preemie outfits. So I'm curious. Would it be best to take along a preemie sized outfit AS WELL AS something 0-3 months? I actually found an outfit at WalMart yesterday that is "Newborn" sized. Something I had yet to see before. ↓

I would take both. You never know for sure how big or small the baby will be. Usually preemie size will fit up to 10 lbs but just in case it's a smaller preemie size you might want the next biggest size also! good luck ↑

My son was 8 pound 10 ounce when he was born. The Tshirts that they gave me in the hospital didn't even fit him, I actaully sent my husband out to purchase some 0-3 month Tshirt and then run home to get me a 0-3 month outfit since I only had newborn. Newborn if you put it up next to 0-3 months is actually in between preemie and o-3 months. Closer to 0-3 months then to preemies. I think I am going to agree with kykysmom and tell you to bring both. ↑

I brought 2 cute outfits to bring my lil girl in. I even brought a boy one incase she was in fact a he but that was not the case lol ↑

my son was 8lb 4 oz he was born july 1st 2006 i had a preemie outfit for him to wear also but he was to long for it so he wore and is still wearing newborn sizes newborn is in between preemie and 0-3 month witch he still cant fit in its to big for him but hope i helped good luck ↑

My daughter was 7.5 lbs 21.5 inches long when i had her. i had all 0-3 month outfits with my. Luckily my mom was smarter than I and bought Newborn clothes to me in the hospital washed and ready to wear because 0-3 month clothes were HUGE on her. ↑
