Hey ladies I need your prayers and well wishing or whatever you do.. Brooke has bronchillitis for the second time this year. however it is more severe this time. She started having symptoms on Friday the day after her well baby. We went to the doctor on Saturday and she had lost 5 ozs. The doc said she just had a cold. Well she has gotten increasingly worse. She strted retracting, which is where their chest sucks up under their ribs when they breathe, that started last night. She is barely sleeping, very lathargic, not eating any solids, and barely drinling bottles. She only put out 3 wet diapers yesterday.
Anyway we went to the doc today, the brinchillitis is very bad, and she has now lost 13 ozs. They gave her 2 breathing treatments in the office and a dose of a steriod. She also had a chest x-ray. I have to give her breathing treatments every 4 hous, a steriod every 8 hours, and an antibiotic every 12 hours. We have to go back to the doctor in the morning and if she is better she has to go into the hospital for a 23 hour observation. Please pray with me that that doesn't happen. I am so worried about my little girl. ↓

I know that it's stressful when you're little ones are sick, especially when it's serious....one of my twins was very ill at 10 months. Anyway...keep us updated and fingers crossed for you both xxx ↑ |

| Hi Nikki, we'll be thinking about you. Ian just got over bronchilitis, which was preceded by pneumonia. He was on the breathing treatment and antibiotics. He lost about a pound but is now back up to fighting weight :) I'm sure all will be well for Brooke but we'll keep you in our prayers! ↑ |

Marti, poor Ian :( Brooke had Bronchiolitis in Jaunary for 3 weeks, and it almost turned into pneumonia, so this is our second time around with it. It is just so horrible, and last time she barely lost any weight. This time it is just hitting her so much harder. Glad Ian is doing better, and thanks for your prayers. ↑ |

| thank you everyone for your prayers and well wishing. she is not 100 percent but she is doing better so NO hospital! she hasn't lost any more weight but her oxygen levels are still a little low, acceptable but low. she slept last night so that was great. I have to take her back to the doctor on friday to make sure she is getting better. but I am so relieved that she doesn't have to go to the hospital. the only bad news really is she has puss in her left ear, in other words an ear infection and her right ear is close to have an infection in it too. the doc says that it is because of all of her congestion. anyway thanks again everyone. ↑ |
