hello. i am 17 and pregnant with my first child. i am in my 8th week of pregnancy and i have just recently *since last wednesday* started getting implantation bleeding. its almost been a week now and i wondered how long implantation bleeding lasts?
ive looked at it and there seems to be nothing abnormal about it. a few clots here and there but nothing really to be alarmed about it. its brown and reddish. kind of light pink sometimes...i want to know how long your implantation bleeding lasted when you guys first got it? ↓

| well, i am not too sure if it is implantation bleeding. impantation takes place about 10 days after conception. i had dark brownish bleeding for about 12 days starting when i was 8 weeks. they did an ultrasound and found that i had a small separation in the placenta. i also had 1 day of heavy red bleeding. it just healed on its own. he told me to stay off my feet and not lift anything until the bleeding stopped, and that did the trick. i am now 28 1/2 weeks. by the way, when the baby implants or burrows into your uterin lining it is called a blastocyst. look it up in a book or online and you will see that implantation takes place much sooner than 8 weeks. its when the baby is still a cluster of cells and at 8 weeks, your baby already has a heartbeat that can be seen on ultrasound. ↑ |

| I had a brown discharge with some pink in it for a few days in a row when I was 10 weeks preggers (I'm now 27 weeks with our first) and I called the doctor and she told me to go to the emergency room cause it sounded like I was miscarrying...my advice to you would to do the same cause that is way too long to be having any type of colored discharge, especially clots. It could be nothing but it still has to be checked out to see if your cervix is closed. Implantation is before you even know your pregnant really so this is something you gotta mention good luck though I hope it's all okay. I'm 21 and being young and not knowing what is suppose to happen isn't fun. Call your doctor sweetie. ↑ |

i took your advice and they asked me the color, how light it was, and how long i've been having it.
i told her, and she said there was nothing to worry about as long as there isnt any flesh or anything unusual about the blood. and as long as there not a lot coming out and its really light only when i wipe does it come out. she said that its just my pregnancy version of a period. and that some women still have them especially in the first two months of their period.

| Hi. I'm 30 yrs. old and this is my first pregnancy. I know that I am pregnant b/c I took 3 home pregnancy tests (all positive!) My husband & I are very excited. My questions is: I'm not sure if I am 5 weeks or 9 weeks pregnant? My last period was only 2 days and it was brown. The month before that, my period was normal. So, which period do I count as my LAST period? I am extremely regular and have a 29 day cycle. What do you guys think? ↑ |

| Hey there this is my first time on a site like this. Although i have read through many. here is my situation: i think that i conceived on July 8th. i think my cycles are usually 30-32days. Right now i am having some bleeding which i believe to be implantation bleeding. My periods usually very heavy and this is not. The first day (evening time) i noticed bleeding was actually dark brownish in color and very lttle of it. ( only when i wiped) The second day was the same but a little more ( had to wear a pad but certainly didn't fill the pad) Now today (tecnically 42hrs from time of first dark brown bleeding) it is pink to bright red and occassionaly stringy clots, but still not filling an entire thin maxi, which by this point if it was my period i would have gone through at least two heavy maxi's. Technically i won't even be 2 weeks pregnant until Sunday if i was pregnant. Is this implantation bleeding? Or is this wishful thinking? I know that every woman is different and experiences are different as well. Oh and i am having some cramping as well. The thing is, i have this overwhelming feeling that i am pregnant. Other months i have taken a test it comes back neg. and i get my period and i move on. why do i feel different this month? Unfortunately time will tell. It is just driving me crazy! i thought i felt so confident yesterday and then today i question. Please anyone give me feedback. Thanks. ↑ |

| Hi moemaster , I would like to know how your result comes out? =) Cause I am experiencing the same situation very very similar to you. Hope you can let us know the result. I had been to many forums and seems people list out the symptoms and what they are experiencing but never update the result. I think the result is how we can learn =P For my situation, my period arrived one week early this month (my period should be start around 11/23/07) and I am not sure what I am experiencing is it called Implantation Bleeding or not. If I didn't browse around the Internet for some pregnant symptoms, I wouldn't know there is a symptoms called "Implantation Bleeding" and I might though the bleeding that I had now is period that arrived early. (Although what I am experiencing might be period, who knows?) Cause this time, the bleeding is not like my regular period, the first day (11/14/07 ) and second day (11/15/07) the amount is small and all in dark brown blood color, just like old blood. I went to the Dr. last night and want to get a blood test done, cause I think having blood test done is the most precise and accurate to confirm whether i am pregnant or not. But the Dr. said my conceive date should be on 11/8/07 and if I really pregnant, it will be too early for me to take the blood test. Cause if I test too early, the result might can back in negative but I still can be pregnant. Therefore, he asked me to take the blood test few days after my cycle which is after 11/26/07 in order to be accurate. So I will have to wait almost two weeks to know whether I am pregnant or not..
