but the Lunch meat, they say isn't good for you because of i think the MSg levels or something, but i eat it all the time, but then again i don't buy cheap quality meat, i buy Boars Head Brand Lunch meat!

You're not supposed to have that soft cheese with all the veins. I dunno.

The stuff that has to unpasturised to make it like that.

But...I was wondering about the cheddar cheese spread?

I still eat cheese singles. And regular cheddar.

Lunch meat is a bizzare one. I eat ham all the time.

And I also have about 5 cups of tea a day.

At all my scans they say I have a very active baby.

So...I dunno.

Like the song goes...eat when yer hungry and drink when yer dry...

XD

Blue cheese is the only one that springs to mind.

It just kinda looks like a greenish blue mould on it.

Looks yucky!

With tea...I just have it with milk and a sugar.

Lyons are the best :D

when i go to star bucks i get the Chi Latte, which is Tea and Milk, and they add a shot of vanilla to it and i add a little bit of cinnamon. but at home i drink Arizona Pre made Teas cold though, like sweet tea

You're not supposed to have soft cheeses b/c of the bacteria Listerium that casues Listeria...this is one illness that can actually casue you to miscarry. Though rare, it is possible to contract it from unpasterized dairy products and cold lunch meats. Cetain meats also contain nitrates which is a preservative that has been linked to cancer. As for the caffeine, everything in moderation. My dr. said that caffeine can help digest food and quell morning sickness. Caffeine is actually more harmful to your baby when you're breastfeeding

yeh i read not to eat deli lunch meat and no cheese like feta...My doc and my panic free pregnancy book says caffeine is fine in moderation.

Name: zoey9810 | Date: Apr 17th, 2007 2:26 PM

There is a certain bacteria in soft cheeses (like Brie and Camembert) that affects preggers. Drink the damn caffeine if you can. Unless it is for blood pressure reasons. When I was 6 1/2 months pregnant my doctor tried to put me on a 1500 calorie diet.. Shitt..... are you nuts.. put some more ice cream in my bowl you jackass... HA HA HA

I've heard 300 to 500 more calories a day than normal. I don't think I have ever really done that except in my must have fast food days in the scond trimester :) but I'm still gaining weight like normal :)

Name: bebe9281 | Date: Apr 17th, 2007 2:38 PM
Ooohhh I gained weight like a Sumo Wrestler.. 70 lbs with my first and 63 with my second.. HOWEVER... both times I got back to my original weight.. So there doctor skinny boy.. HA HA HA

caffeine, in moderatio, up to 6 8oz cups of soda a day is allowed and 2-3 of coffee instead of soda.

cheee, soft cheese such as feta, brie, the unpasterized. u can eat normal cheese, cream cheese, all that lovelyness

lunch meat is b.c it carries a certain bacteria. i was told heat it up for like 20 seconds in the microwave and you should be fine. i dont like deli meats much anyways so i didnt care too mucha bout that

you're also supposed to not eat hotdogs all that much b.c of a certain ingredient but i ate them in moderation, like once a week or a couple times a month having a hotdog, big whoop.

tid bit of info I learned the other day. Apparently you have to smoke MORE than 8 cigs a day while preg before it poses a threat to your baby or Preg.--isn't that conflicting information
that they preobably should've kept hush hush!!

i hate hot dogs unless its Ball Park, beef ones, and i do ear corn dogs every once in a while, but the ketchup and mustard gives me heart burn!

lol me and my mom were at one of my classes, and on our break, one of the girls in our class was smoking and my mom was freaking out lol, i don't smoke and never will, but even if i did, and i was pregnant, i would quit for my baby's health!

Name: Coartney | Date: Apr 17th, 2007 2:45 PM
kyra not something im proud of but i did smoke up til 20 weeks, about a pack or two a week depending. but my doctor was fine with it b.c i couldnt take my damn anxiety medication b.c its a class d drug and i would freak out hardcore

I always have a 2 two week period somewhere in my pregs where I let myself smoke and find it super easy to limit it to that cause it starts grossing me out--

Name: mother2five | Date: Apr 17th, 2007 2:49 PM
Your not supposed to have deli meat, pkg lunch meat is ok, any meat handled by a deli personel raises a risk of samanila (sp) for you and your baby. So no subway, or deli meat from the grocery store. I know it's stupid but thats what my dr told us. Also no peanuts and 1 can of tuna a week only.

Name: Coartney | Date: Apr 17th, 2007 2:52 PM
the peanuts thing is a personal choice. it hasnt been proven that it is completely harmful but they say all other nuts are fine but you should avoid peanuts b.c it can raise the risk of your baby being allergic to nuts.

If my Dr. gave me restrictions like that I would laugh in his face. I think people take too many percautions and as a result we are going to raise a new generation of under-exposed babies who will be prone to allergies and illness--Thats totally my theory
Babies need to build up their own antibodies but can't if they are so protected from everything

Name: Kyra | Date: Apr 17th, 2007 2:59 PM
I even think that is how the ever popular Lactose intolerance comes from.
And the tuna thing is misinturpeted. It's only large ocean fish--large enough that they eat smaller fish who eat smaller fish and so on that have the high mercury levels
