ok first off thank all of you for your sweet words. you all make me feel so special :) right now i am laying in my hostpital bed. brooke is asleep so i thought i would catch you all up.
so tuesday night i was online talking with everyone and feeling fine. i decided then to go to sleep so i went to the bathroom and came back to my bed to lay down. i layed down and all th sudden water gushed all around me. up my back and everything. i was thinking i peed myself? but i smelt it and it smelt like nothing, so i went to the potty and the flow would not stop. so i wrapped a towel around me and went to get my mom. she didnt wake up when i called her name, so i threw open her bedroom door and flicked on the life, yelling my water broke! to which my mom responded then turn it off! lol she finally figured out what was going on. so i called the doc and they said to come in. so we left for the hospital with nothing. cause i hadnt packed a bag yet. i get there and im like 3rd in line for triage. i was leaking the whole time. i had started to get contractions on the drive there. but they werent that bad. so i was sitting on a pad, and finally a nurse got the head nurse and she got me a room immediately. they first hooked me up to the monitors. then they started asking me questions. they get to the has there been any problems with this pregnancy, and im like well not really, except shes breech. so they got an u/s machine and sure enough still breech. the on call doc came in and did my gbs test, and told them not to check me for diliation. she didnt want my labor to progress. they were hoping i wouldnt have brooke for a couple of days. so i was given a sleeping pill because its now like 2 am. i sleep sorta, the contractions kept waking me up and i had to pee in a bed pan every hour because i was on strict bed rest. at about 6am the contactions got too bad and they gave me pain medicine. then informed me i would be having the c-sec at noon the next day. well i called john and told him to get on the road in enough time to be there for the delivery. as the contractions got worse they bumped up the time to 11 am so i knew john was going to miss it i was upset. but my mom got to be with me in the or. so they took me, put in the spinal block which was painful but wonderful after i had it. then they cut me open and at 12:01 brooke was born. she is perfect. though 5 weeks early she didnt need to go to the nicu. she was complete breech and had the cord wrapped around her body twice.
anyways i know its long, but im chatty lol. brooke is great she barely cries and the breastfeeding is going great. i am doing great and when im in pain they give me meds lol. which im on now. we will go home on thursday or friday. ↓

| congrats hun. Too bad that she didn't flip around for you, but with the cord issue you prob would have ended up in c section anyway. Hay a bit of advise don't over do it. The day after my section I was up and cleaning the hospital room and walking all around in and out of the bed and the rocking chair. I felt fine and wasn't even taking any pain pills. I later found out aht I had been given duramorpy whis is a pain med they put into your spinal that last for about 24hrs. That is why I wasn't very sore. I woke up to pee at about 4am and OMG I was in some serious pain. I edned up asking for some pain meds. My dr came in at about 6am that morning and I told her what happened and that I had taken a motrin 800 and she was like are you kidding me! you need to be taking your perkasets(sp) every 4-6 hrs and the motrin 800 every 4hrs. So to make a long story short take it easy even if you are feeling great because you will regret it later. ↑ |

yeah brooke fits best in the premie clothes, but i guess thats because she is one.
