My daughter is 11 and weghs about 59 lbs. She has been afraid to feel full for almost a year now. She only really eats breakfast, and picks the rest of the day ( and lies about it). She actually goes into full panic attack mode if she eats a normal amount of food and feels full. She has NEVER said she is too fat, or anything like that however. We have done extensive medical testing to see if there is something wrong with her stomach.. all negative. I feel she is using food as a control issue, could she have an eating disorder?? Thanks for listening

That's the same thing I did to my parents. THERAPY can do wonders. You don't want to lose your daughter in her twenty's for something that can be helped now BEFORE she get in too deep.

YES! please please please get her help. I am studying childhood development. And I really think you should maybe try going to a counselor or something. She needs to learn that food is not a negative thing. Also make sure that you are showing her food is positive and normal by your actions. Don't let her know you are worried. It could be an attention thing too.
