This...is a plea, this is a desperate cry for help and for reassurance. I'm terrified, and it's not even me who's potentially pregnant, it's my girlfriend. Here is the situation...

First off, neither me nor her are stupid. We love each other in a way that most adults would laugh at. We insist it's lifelong, and it's labeled puppy love. We're 16, and I know I love her, as much as I know she loves me. We've known each other for 2 months now, yet we've only been dating officially for a week. I've known I loved her since I saw her 2 months ago, since the first time I made her smile. It just took a little longer for her to realize. We'd kissed before we started going out, she had just gotten out of a bad relationship, and needed time to get over it. I was there for her when she needed the time.

So, last night, new years, we had sex. It was fast, awkward, and it made me realize how much I loved her. And after all was said and done, I realized the condom had broken. I nearly fainted. I realized I couldn't support a child, or deal with a pregnancy.

So, at this point, the situation is this: I have ejaculated inside my girlfriend, possible making her pregnant. Her period started on December 22. I made love to her on Janary 1st. There is a 9 day difference between these dates... That is much to close to optimum fertilization. It happened at 7:00 A.M. As soon as I realized, I went out to get her the "Morning After Pill", and returned by noon with it. 5 hours in between the sex and the pill.

You have the situation...And I hope you can see why I am so terrified. 80% chance, that's what the pill assures. 4/5. I can't risk a child's life, a terrible life for a child that would always be thought of as an accident...Not on a 20% chance.

She's 16...her parents like me, I'm respectable and I'm decent...but no matter how much they like me, 1 week in their eyes is not acceptable under any rules... If an abortion has to take place, they can't know about it. The child isn't an option. So it's the emergency pill working, or a method of abortion, with me by her side.

You have the information, and I need your help, whatever it may be. Before judging me, please understand that I love her, truly and honestly, and I'll be by her side through all of this, no matter what.

-Thanks, from a desperate, stupid boy.

First you need to calm down and relax. If your girlfriend is not pregnant then you two should think of another form of birth control. You will have to be patient to see if her period will arrive this month. The more she stresses about the situation then the less likely her period will make an appearance. The only advice I can give is to wait, and for now maybe try condoms and the pill. It will never hurt to have more than one form of birth control. Also it is nice to see you were responsible in the first place and used condoms.

You are living the same way many other do. Don't be a follower be a leader. Sex at this age is scary and stupid. You already see how easy it is to change your life by a small error. Your story does not tell enough about you. Do you want to go to college, military and just get married after high school. Having a baby changes this. If your grilfriend was on the pill and your condom broke then the probability is high that she is not pregnant. You can now get a test for early detection. But if she is not, what are you going to do.I know you think you are in love now and that is great, but you have only seen the women in your world. Not the rest of the world. You have the option when you are older to travel the world and date women from evey corner of the world. If I were you, I would not worry about the women in my town. And as far as sex goes, I hate to say if but masturbate. You have the rest of your life to do the real thing. When you get older date every type of women under the sun and set your goals high for a wife. Does she need to educated, outgoing, or shy. Get you taste of them and live life like it is a sport. Do eveything not just sex.

I have been in your position. Honestly, the morning pill didn't work for me. BUT chances are more likely that your girlfriend is NOT pregnant. But there is always that chance. You shouldn't be thinking about sex right now. If you love this girl the way you say you do, you shouldn't be having sex right now. I know. I am in my 30's now. Things change. I met my daughter's father when I was a teenager. We waited for over a year before we had sex. I was 18 when I had my daughter. After 2 years, we broke up. She is now 14. Her father and I don't even speak any more. It is her that has to pay for it. We were very much in love too. We were inseparable and voted the most likely to still be togethere in school. If you still choose to be sexually involved, I would advise for her to get on the shot. She would have to have one every 10-12 weeks or so... but that way she won't be forgetting to take the pill. I got pregnant with my daughter on the pill. Condoms are good, but just like what happened to you... they can break. You have to be responsible when you make grown up decisions.... and I don't think either of you truly realize the life-long decisions you are placing in front of you. My daughter is the greatest, but I am still in college because I was forced to take responsibility for raising my children. I love them to death, but it would have definitely been easier for me and more beneficial for them if I had waited to have them after college and career. These are things you don't think about at age 16. Your hormones are raging. Think about it and do the right thing.

What??? Keep your pants on, young'un. I can't believe these other people are giving you advice on how not to get a girl pregnant. That is a crock. It is called Abstinance. I made my mistake when I was 18, and ended up having to give her up for adoption, cause I knew I and her father couldn't take care of her. Responsible people would tell you to keep it in your pants, and don't have sex with her unless you get married. That is what I'm telling you. Obviously, it would devestate your entire life if you had a kid anytime soon, so avoid it altogether, and go on group dates only if thats what it takes to keep the 2 of you from sleeping together.

My friend got prego on the shot. 3-4 friends of mine got prego on the pill. Condoms break, and the pull out method still involves sperm going inside the girl, cause of pre cum. You could use a condom AND a pill or the shot, but even that could backfire, so I'd just say, DON"T DO IT.

Sounds like you have been and continue to be a responsible young man, not stupid. You've done everything you can. At this point, it is in fate's hands. All you can do it wait, and learn from the situation. It's too late to say you are too young to take the risk of pregnancy, because the proof is in the difficult situation you find yourself in right now. Slow down, and pray.
