| The best advice my mom ever gave me (I am in my early adut years) is that you can always get a man, you can always have kids but you won't always have time for you. Take the time for yourself and your dreams and doing what you want to do and focusing on your goals because everything else (if it's meant to be) will come on it's own! Isn't my mother brilliant! i think she is : ) and so far all she says is true, i go to school and buy and do what i want, the boyfriend i have spoils me and treats me wonderfully we've been together for several years and i met him when i least expected it, when i wasn't even looking! | I tell my kids when they are being unappreciative or nasty, that the law says I have to shelter, feed & cloth them, it doesnt say anything about buying them nice things, more than one outfit or loving them, so they should feel blessed and stop complaining. It just puts it in perspective for them. ↑ |
