no ur not, ur just venting anger, that isnt the same thing, it may have the same effect but it isnt the same thing, plus true cutters are ashamed of it, they dont admit it, venting anger and cutting have the same effect but are very different. its easy to get them confused. email me ill explain it more canislupus93@aim.com

I really dont know if you are a cutter or just relieving your anger, but it doesnt matter just dont do it. I know that seems simple but is hard but try to find different ways to relese your anger. You could convience your mom to buy you a punching bag, or go out of the house and get away from your mom. Thier just sugestions. Just please dont hurt your self, if your just barley cutting now what happens if you get really upset and really hurt your self? Good luck :)

Riki - Don't minimize this persons "cutting" just because it doesn't compare to what you do. You make it sound like you are boasting that YOU are a "true cutter" like it's something to be proud of. Tips or explanations on how to do it right isn't what this person needs. I hope you both get the help you need.
A quote from kids-in-crisis:
"There are degrees of cutting. Some cuts are superficial or “light”, while other cuts are deep, drawing blood. Head-banging, hair-pulling, biting, and eyeball pressing are also methods of self-injury. Some want their wounds to be noticed. Others hide them under long sleeves or pants. Some cut to experience the pain. Others cut for the release of blood. Regardless of the degree, it is the release they seek. Granted, some depressed teenagers will cut for the attention, but this is usually a cry for help."
