Name: Patricia [ Original Post ] I'm doing a special needs course at present, and although I have found lots of info about this, I would still like to know what it's like for a child with albinism at school every day and what their home life is like and had there to be any changes or modifications made to the home in ay way. My son was born with Albinism. He just turned 1 in June. So I can't give you and knowledge about what it's like for him in school but I can tell you what it's like at home. He is a big healthy boy who is learning and developing at a very normal to above normal pace. He has only ever ran into something twice since he has been crawling. The ophthalmologist says right now he's probably seeing about 20/200. Which is great. This mind you is without correction yet. I have some other info that would help in a presentation format, regarding eye site in people with albinism so email me if you would like it. Or even if you have more questions. ↑
