I do not know anyone where i live and this last year and a half has kept me in the hospital so I have not had the oppurtunity either. My baby has Hirschsprungs Disease so I thought and he had surgery 12 times for this with different procedures. My surgeon was deployed to Iraq for 6mths right after we had put a colostomy bag on my son because nothing was working to fix his poop problem. When he returned last month more testing was done and come to find out he has a rare form of this RARE disease I was told he has Diverted Colonic Hirschsprings" The only thing they can even think to do is remove his entire colon to what is left of his rectum. I am so scared. He has to be under the knife for 6 hours and recovery is 2 weeks. The colostomy will be off but he will poop more often and softer the rest of his life. BUT that is if this works...nothing else has..just lookin for a friend to talk to.
