Does anyone live in the New York/New Jersey area that has a child with special needs who may want to become friends I know this may sound lame but I have girlfriends and a big family but I still feel like an outcast at times because they are not living my reality. I need someone who lives my reality every day and can relate to where I am coming from as far as emotionally and physcially........ ↓

| When my daughter was first diagnosed doctors said she had Cerebral Palsy. We realized later that she didnt have CP that she had a congenital spinalcord injury. It can be difficult at times not knowing how thier future will turn out and only beeing able to plan for the next day. Just hang in there! one day you will look back on today and realize it was all worth it! ↑ |

| I wish I did. I'm in Texas with the same problem! My son is eleven and the only time I feel like things are normal is when we are home. Unfortunately the world reminds me everyday of how NOT normal our lives are. I am trying to find someone to chat with that I can talk to who understands. ↑ |

| I am sorry I don't live in your area, but I am going crazy with having my special need daughter. She has a rare syndrome, trach, g tube feedings, and is 12 years old. She is smart, not too many issues intellectualy, but so many medical issues. Husband travels, and I am alone, so much. ↑ |

| TO SWEETCARAMALKISS; I do not live in the New York/New Jersey area, but i also have a child with special needs & I`m also looking for someone who can relate to the every day stresses of raising a special needs child. I am a single parent, so I`m pretty much on my own with it. Do you have any coping skills you would like 2 share?
