| My granddaughter had encephaloceles, survived and the only problem she has is the temporal lobe has been damaged so although she can hear, her brain can not figure out what the sound is suppose to mean. She is beginning sign language. Find every support you can. Social Services, your local district because they will eventually have to deal with any disabilities you may encounter.
