What do you guys do to stay trim? I am well was 123, lol but have put on 4-5lbs in the last few weeks I'm affraid and I just cannot seem to loose it by being active, trying to lay off pop, or eating less, it's not a huge deal but has made my pants a tiny bit snug, and more than anything bothers me. I dont wanna loose a ton here just the 4-5 lbs I've put on and pos. another 3-5lbs tops, more than anything I need to tone, but have no energy what so ever. I am the queen of laziness when it comes to working out. So any little quick tricks besides tiring myself in a gym or puking my guts, out lol. I just wanna feel a bit slimmer is all not anything drastic, lol I'd even settle back for my 123lbs if I must.

Oh and I know that 123-128 isn't huge but I'm short 5'1/2-2" tall and 123 is kinda max for that height any higher really does show thats why I'm upset, lol

well eat your meals on a smaller plate..that would be less portions..like you said cut the pop out..stick to water..
i hate exercise..you say your the queen of laziness..i bought a bike to ride in front of my tv over a year ago..i rode it i think once..for goodness sakes you ride it in front of the tv..how easy could that be..

When I wasn't to lose only 4-5 lbs I will fast for 2-3 days. I know you all are going to say thats so unhealthy but, on the contrary.... it is very healthy. Fasting is a great way to detoxify the body, some doctors will even recommend fasting.

Lol...omg Lindalu I applaud you that you are able to do that, lol but no wayyy in hell unless I was locked in a cage, lolout of reach of anyone I could choke, lol!!! I get terrible headaches, and get dizzy when I miss meals idk why I always have, I turn into mega bitch when I get very hungry, lol

i DONT stay trim... At the moment im a fat blobb cause i just cannot bring myself to eat healthy instead of a pile of junk food !! ARGHHH Old habits die hard.

I have a balanced vegetarian diet.
I do a 15 minute toning workout each day - pullovers, crunches etc
I go for a 30-60 minute walk each day.
I do dog agility with my dogs 3 times a week.
I go cycling once a week.

Oh! And I have a toning belt which I use 4 times a week for 25 minute sessions.

We only need 3 meals a day, a sensible breakfast, lunch and dinner. Avoid snacking and if you must snack, snack on sensible food products.
Switching from dairy to soya is also highly recommended in my doctors office.

Briseis, I was actually told much different about 3 meals. I was told to NOT stick to 3 regular meals, but to do 6 tiny meals. LIke snacks. Healthy, low fat ones, of course. Eating this offen keeps your metablolism up, therefore, helping you lose weight faster. This method worked wonders for me. I'd eat a small bowl of cereal for breakfast, 2-3 hrs later, I'd eat a piece of fruit for a snack, 2-3 hrs later, half of a sandwich for lunch, 2-3 hrs later, lowfat yogurt for a snack, then 2-3 hrs later a small salad for dinner. I only drank water with and in between these "tiny meals", but once a day, I'd allow myself one drink with calories. The water helps flush out your system. This method of weight loss works, and is VERY QUICK and effective. I lost like 5 lbs in one week doing this with very little exercise. DONT WORRY M25, I"M A SHORTY TOO!! Good luck!

You of course can pick whatever food you want for this method of weight loss, I was just giving examples. You don't starve this way either, cause it feels like you're constantly eating, even though you're really not taking in that many calories! SOUNDS GOOD TO ME!

Thats correct I agree with you, eating small portions several times a day does keep your metabolism moving. It is recommended by most doctors to eat that way on an every day basis. However eating three sensible well balanced meals a day with a high activity level is also recommended. I do believe how you eat should be based on your life style and activity levels.

Well I did exercise last night and man do I feel the burn today!!! But I blew it and went out and had lunch with my husband, gotta love a chimichanga.......I ate only half and half my rice but still now I feel like my belly is bloated and huge! I am cooking spagetti tonight which I hate so I will opt for just the salad I think. I want these few lbs off before bathing suit season, kicks in, lol I know it's only a few lbs but I know it's there, and I want it gone. I like the fasting idea, but it's just not an option for me at all, but that would do the trick I'm sure, I just get sick if I dont eat.

Does not matter if it is a few or many.....it is just simply how each feels their best!
Only eat complex carbs....cut out fats and sugars......

What are carbohydrates?
All carbohydrates are made up from sugars. There are a number of different types of sugars but in the body all carbohydrate metabolism converts sugar to glucose, our body's preferred energy source. What are complex carbohydrates?
Complex carbohydrates or starch are simply sugars bonded together to form a chain. Digestive enzymes have to work much harder to access the bonds to break the chain into individual sugars for absorption through the intestines.
For this reason digestion of complex carbohydrates takes longer. The slow absorption of sugars provides us with a steady supply of energy and limits the amount of sugar converted into fat and stored!

Thats what I was pointing out, some can eat their three squares and be well with in their weight range. Others who are less physically active are unable to do that, they have to eat several small meals to get their metabolism going.
I do all kinds of different things to try and stay balanced,I wish I could find some thing that worked for me. I have found that eating a vegan diet has helped remove the extra weight. I just need to find a mid line that will keep me balanced and stay with it.
