last night after we went out..our neighbors drove us home and hung out for awhile..They are a very nice mexican couple and my brent is also half mexican himself.though i never though he spoke much spanish..just some slang..the wife doesn't speak very good english..I was so surprised last night..that my boyfriend could keep up with her very well and talk back with her..It was news to me...

So now I am going to make him talk to the kids in spanish..and also have her over more so the kids and i can learn more spanish..and perhaps she can learn some english..when i was young i spoke spanish..then moved to arizona..and lost it..i would love for my kids to know a second language..

what was funny is i woke up this morning and i found my computer in spainish this morning...because they were on it last night...i didn't know what to do...ahhh...i need a refresher..  ?

I think that it is good for children to learn spanish. My husband is from mexico. so my 4 year old speaks spanish and english. I been with my husband for 6 years and at first i didnt know any spanish. We lived in New Jersey for 2 years and then moved to Texas. we lived right by the border of mexico. so there are alot of hispanics who live there We lived with his mother for a bout a year. She doesnt know any english. So it was hard for me to talk to her. And when i went to the store they spoke to me in spanish and i was lost. I didnt understand anything that they were asking me. So i decided to watch tv in spanish with the close caption in english and in 4 months i knew spanish you have to forget english and just speak spanish. Dont get angry if you say something wrong you are learning its okay. now i live back in Newj ersey and i cant stop speaking spanish. I forget that there is not a lot of people here who speak spanish. When i speak to my daughter in spanish people look at me strange.Like they are shocked that a white person can speak spanish So i think you are doing you kids a good thing by wanting them to learn spanish. It will help them in the future. And Emplorers look for people who can speak spanish.  =

i think its great that kids are bi-lingual they use more of their brains and it opens the door for more opportunities. All my friends are bi-lingual and when I lived with my Greek girlfriend I picked up the language pretty easy LOL Her mother couldnt speak english, over the years I could understand her more. One day my cousin came over while she was there and as she was talking to me and I was answering her, my cousin looked at me in amazement and said " I didnt know you spoke Greek" hahahahahahah I was pissing myself laughing and answered..." she is not speaking Greek ...thats english!!!" Pidgeon but english ROFLMAO!  =
