Hi Kristen, We love going to Disney! We'll be going in July for our fifth time so I have lots of info to share. Are you staying on property or off? Some of the suggestions I have will be based on that. The good thing is you probably won't have to worry to much about lines if your going during this time of the year, but if you do find that you run into lines take advantage of the Fast Pass. Just keep in mind you can only have one fast pass at a time. Also, if there's a big age difference between your kids and one of your kids is too small to get on a ride Disney has parent sharing. So instead of having to get to the end of the line you can wait with your child who is too young generally at the front of the line ( depends on the ride) and swap kids when the rides over. If you didn't buy the meal plan it's actually a great deal this year I would look into it. Even if you've bought your package already you can still add it on. I have more suggestions but I'll check back tomorrow to see what your answer is on staying on property so I can give you some more info.

Bless you Chris! We are staying off property. Disney won't let the 6 of us share a room so I'd have to get a suite which was too excpensive. Tell me more about the Parent sharing and the meal plan! I'll look into it too!
E mail me if you like

Thank you!

Hey I JUST got back from there. I've been there 4 times. Awesome.
I would say because you have little girls, if you had to skip a park, Animal kingdom would be the best to skip. I think its pretty boyish.
You might be interested in buying a "My pal Mickey" doll. Its like 60$ but it gives you tips on where the princesses and best lines are when you are in the park. Very cool.
The best thing I would say you could ever have is going to Barnes and Noble or a bookstore and buying "The Unoffical Guide to Walt Disney WOrld" They are frank about everything and its PERFECT. For every age. A MUST buy.

I have a 3 year old and an 8 year old. I think it would have been better to wait a few years for my 3 year old. We drove from Jersey to Florida and back! The kids really behaved the car ride! I went from July 1-7. But the in and out of the stroller, parking the stroller for each ride or show everywhere you go, kids 4 and under really cant go on any rides, it stinks, boo! And it takes away from the older kids. We did have a fabulous time though, but when we go again it will be when our kids are 7 & 12.

Wow, you're lucky!! I love going to Disneyland, I Hope u have fun.
Well, it looks like ur all set for your trip, but there are a few tips i have for u.

Always make sure u have lots of water with u in the park, because the water prices in Disneyland are outrageous. I advise that u get fastpasses for the popular rides, because their lines are long and don't exactly go fast. Speaking of long lines, make sure u have the bathrooms in sight and take a bathroom break before u get into the ride.

Well that's all my advise, and i hope u have a great time in the Magic kingdom!

I would go to magic kingdom because it is the most fun and the most child related with toon town and fantasy land.

HI Kristen,
I live in Fla. We usually go about 3x year. If you're going around the holdiay's, try to book Mickey's Very Merry Christmas parade it's awesome but a late night. 7-midnight. There's also a special night for Halloween at Magic Kingdom. Have to book early the park closes to only those with tickets and fills up! Good luck it's the happy, cleanest and safest place on earth!

hi kristen
we went to Disney World with 5 kids 2 teens 2 pre-teens 9 and 10yo and a 18mth baby i love the fact that they had a parent waiting area so my husband took half the kids on the rides and as i love the rides too i kept 1 with me and we went straight after you dont have to wait in line again and you get to sit in a nice area(poor hubby gets to stand in line) where your baby can roam about safely. Its great!! If you get the chance my favourite place was Universal Studios and Island of Dreams(i think that was what it was called??) theyre right next to one another. Make sure you take those little raincoats that fit into handbag we went in Sept so i dont know if it will rain like it did when we were there, better to be safe than sorry. Invest in the double strollers (im assuming there is another adult with you?) get 2 for all your kids (6yo still get tired) it will give you space to cart extra stuff .
Have a huge breakfast before you go. We went to the all you can eat buffets (plenty of them around!) late so the kids would be really hungry then on to the parks. By the time we got there the food had all settled. Take lunch snack food in a bag crisps fruit..juice boxes bottles of water(remember you have the strollers to carry it all (You then only have to buy icecreams at the park,(had food for the baby) we had dinner on the way home) We went to the parks at 11.00am it may not seem like enough time but its amazing what you can do in six hours. We saw all of the park we may have missed a few shows but you cant always see the shows you want to because they overlap or you may be on the other side of the park. (some of the shows are very loud so prepare to cover any little ones ears if they are sleeping) The biggest fear i had was losing my pre-teens. The teenagers were given instructions on what to do if separated (designate a meeting place) the pre-teen were also given this info but you tend to worry about "the helpful stranger" i gave them both plastic whistles on a string necklace that way people would know if they were in harms way.
Today i have 4 more kids 8,6,5,4 when i take them shopping they were taught to hold on to the pram, if they didnt i used a child restraint (one of those wrist ones) always had 3 in my handbag. the raincoat, whistles and restraints are a small cost but will be huge stress relievers. have a great holiday

i think that their are pleanty of rides for kids to go on but my first suggestion is......go on the dumbo ride first........the kids will love it! I have the tickets ready to and i know everything will be fine. I have already went once before. You might want to stay inside disney because they have a tram that runs from hotel to hotel so if you want to go rest for a hour or two with your baay you can and then you can go back into the parks that is what we did. I had so much fun and i would so go on the tower of terror if i was you because it is something you will never forget! well enjoy your trip!

I have been to walt disney world once only cause i live in california but when i went there, it was sooooooo amazing!!!! Here's a tip, if you go in the summer, long lines. Fall, Long Lines. Winter, short lines. I suggest fall because there are not as many people but still a lot. Do you want to know a secret? In disneyland california, I heard a rumor that they are going to close up Matterhorn Bobsleds for the 2008 season for a complete redecoration!!! They said that Matterhorn Bobsleds may open in the 2009 season or the 2010 season. They also said they might add a new, small attraction in 2009. If you never been to La, go!!! Next to disneyland is disney's california adventure!! Best theme park ever!!! Hollywood hotel is the best ride ever. California Screaming is best too!!! I have been to disneyland about 4 times in a row. That means once every year. I might go this year in the summer. I hope I get to go to walt disney world again.
