Here is my situation. I have to stay at home temporarily until my husband gets his new sales job off the ground. I have been accustomed to working outside the home with a flexible schedule and a moderate but variable income in sales. I have to find some way to make money from home to make ends meet until his pay increases enable us to afford childcare again, but I am terrified of scams. Money is tight right now so I don't want to pay a "membership fee" to start earning money and get ripped off. Does anyone have any ideas or experiences? It would really help. Thank You ↓

You are absolutely right to not want to pay to earn money. Just about everything you can buy on the internet, you can also find for free. With your background in sales, why not try doing referrals? The program I'm in pays commissions through ten levels as well as a percentage of direct sales and profit-sharing throuout the network. They give you a free web page. Just make sure if you see something your interested in you do a better business beareau check before you give your account number to or send money through paypal... and be careful alot of the "work at home" jobs are aimed at moms...and i would imagine that alot of desprate stay at home moms fall for it!!! good luck :~) ↑ |

Hi Kim. I sure understand your situation. I am a P/T Physician Assistant, a mom of a 15 mo old and I just started a stay at home business that I inquired about on a forum. I need to make more $ and did not want to leave home.
I have looked at a few opportunities and was turned off by the hype and "sales" pitches. You HAVE to be careful out there. There ARE A LOT of SCAMS out there. Pyramids are illegal as you know, MLM's wants hundreds of dollars to start up and those paid to do surveys etc I just did not have it in me to trust them.
I guess I recommend that you read ads that interest you and inquire and ask questions right off the bat!!!!
Does your current job allow you to work from home at all??

| Most multi level marketing companies are reputable, they are not "scams." Many do not require a start up fee, but if they do, you can usually earn that back quickly (it can be very minimal). Check into some of the businesses available (through Direct Selling Association) and you will find hundreds. You might also find someone in your area who is already doing an MLM and ask to partner with her, or help her until you can buy a distributor position yourself. Many will be happy to assist you. Partnering up with an existing business person is a great way see if you enjoy that particular business, also! ↑ |
