I hear you on the nap thing! Jonathan can be sound asleep (practically snoring even) in my arms and within seconds after I put him down he wakes right up! I've resorted to using my sling sometimes just so he can settle down and finally get a good nap. Otherwise he is one cranky little man!

Any luck finding some little ones to watch?

I wish I had a straight answer for you on pricing for babysitting but I know all areas are so much different. Around here daycare centers charge about $160 a week for an infant-145 for a toddler on average, but our area might be a higher cost of living than yours, I am not sure.

 The best thing for you to do is call a few day cares in your area and see what the going rate is for the particular age of child you are going to watch and price accordingly. You need to figure in if you plan on providing meals or not too. Usually a sitter who isn't licensed (doesn't have a daycare center in her home) is less expensive than one that does. Most private sitters in my area charge at least $100 a week per child and that is without meals.
