I cannot believe how quickly time is passing. Brianna is now 4 months old (and a week or so). She had her 4 month appointment on March 16th and holy growth spurt! She grew 1.5 inches this month to a total of 25 inches. And she packed on some weight,k bringing her to 15.1 ounces. She truly is amazing. I love watching her grow everyday. She constantly smiles at everyone, especially when she wakes up. She has been a little fussy lately going to sleep at night but I think she doesn't get enough to eat before bedtime. She just won't take more bottle, so I don't force her, and then end up waking up to feed her in the middle of the night for the past 2 nights. She had been sleeping great before then, maybe she is going through another spurt or something. The doc doesn't want to start her on dry cereal yet, maybe next month. He says doing it too early leads to excema and allergies although me, my sister and brother all had it way early and we are fine. But I guess I will wait.
I went out and bought Brianna the cutest little dress for Victoria's Christening on Sunday. I can't wait to take pics of her in it. And my mom bought her the most adorable hat to go along with it, she is going to look so pretty!! More pics to come after that....
2007-02-27 (baby has arrived)
My first time away from her..... Two weeks ago I had to go away for the whole week for training for work. I had to go down to San Antonio and left on Sunday and came over (after many hours of delays and traveling) very late Friday night. It was so hard to leave Brianna that Sunday morning. I almost cried but stopped talking so I wouldn't. Bobby dropped me off at the shuttle to the airport and she had fallen asleep in the car seat. I didn't want to wake her so I went to tell Bobby to tell my baby that I love her when she wakes, but I couldn't get the words out. I had to stop at "Tell" or I was going to ball. I missed her so much all week long, but I had my pics with me to look at. It was nice to get a break for a week but I couldn't wait to get home. Bobby did so good with her all week long. He said "this baby stuff is easy". I am glad they did get that chance though to bond together because I do so much of everything while I am home. He only gets her a couple of hours here and there when I go to the gym or go shopping and such. When I finally got to see her at 1:30 in the morning Friday night, she looked so different to me! Amazing how much they change in such a short period of time. I hope I don't have to go away anywhere for a long, long time!!
2007-02-22 (baby has arrived)
3 month checkup
Brianna had her 3 month checkup this past Friday. She gained only 1.5 pounds this time, so she is now 13 lb 13 oz, at the 80%. She grew another half an inch, to 23.5 inches, at the 50%. She also got 2 shots, one in each leg, this time for meningitis. She of course did not like that. But besides the shots, she did so good. She is always so happy hanging out on the doctor's table.
She has been sleeping good, knock on wood. She will go into her crib around 8 or 9 and sleep until 6 or 7. She has this new thing where she wakes up in the middle of the night, usually around 3, and plays in her crib, talking and amusing herself, then she passes out again. She will do this for about 5-10 minutes. Thankfully she puts herself back to sleep during this. I haven't been getting up to get her so she will learn to fall back to sleep. Unless she cries to eat, I leave her in there.
She is getting so big and notices so many things around her everyday. She can grab onto her toys and hold them for a few minutes now. And she puts everything in her mouth. She will pull her blanket up with her hands and put that in her mouth too. When you put her on her stomach on the changing table she wants to roll over so bad. I am sure she would if I would let her go......

Lift Off....
Well, Brianna can now hold her head up by herself!! She looks so cute trying to hold up her big chipmunk cheeks. I had her on her changing table after her bath and I put her on her stomach so I could put lotion on her back. I couldn't belive how good she could hold her head up. I called Bobby into the room so he could witness it as well. Of course while she was on her stomach, all she wanted to do was roll over onto her back. She is little miss squirmy these days.
On another note, last night marked the 5th night in a row she has slept through the night in her crib. WHOO HOO!!!!! She has been doing 10:30 to 6 (sometimes later) every night now. I hope she has gotten the hang of this sleep thing now. I actually got to sleep for 10 hours Saturday night, that was amazing.....
