I had my shower this past Sunday September 17th. It was such a great time! My mom and mom-in-law really outdid themselves and everything turned out perfect!! A BIG HUGE THANK YOU to both of them and to Aunt Kristee for putting this together for me and for all the great centerpieces, favors and games. Brianna got sooooooo many presents, it is hard to know where to begin. Some of the presents she got were: LOTS of clothes, first bikini (ha ha), onesies, bodysuits, bibs, pacifiers, bottles, diapers, stroller, high chair, infant car seat, older car seat, monitor, swing, take along swing, bouncer seat, nursery bedding set, nursery wall hangings, picture frames, photo albums, toys, hooded towels, washcloths, blankets, quilts, mobile, valences for nursery windows, gift baskets, medical kits, grooming kit, stuffed animals, diaper bag, pack and play, going home outfit and jacket and gift cards. I still can't believe how generous everyone was. My whole upstairs looks like Babies R Us!! Now I have to get the nursery done since I have everything for it. My mom and I will start to paint next weekend and then I can start moving things in. She will be here in 52 days (hopefully sooner) so I am running out of time. I put lots of pics in the photo album from the shower so check them out.
I have my last ultrasound next Wednesday with the high risk doc so I will update afterwards!! Thanks again to everyone who came to the shower and enjoyed my day with me!!

8th Month Prenatal Visit Today I had my 8th month prenatal visit. Everything was good. I gained another 4 pounds, putting my total so far to 29 pounds, UNBELIEVABLE!! All this weight sure as hell better come off as fast as it came on..... My BP was 104/68 which is very good. Brianna's heartbeat was in the 150s, very strong. She even kicked the doc a couple of times when he was measuring my stomach and using the Doppler for the heartbeat. That was funny. He said my stomach has gotten big, yeah, no shit doc.... I am measuring right on schedule at 32 weeks. I now start appointments every 2 weeks, which means we are in the home stretch!!! Ultrasound in about 2 weeks with the high risk doc (Sep 27th), which will probably be the last time I see Brianna on the screen before she comes out. I can't wait for my shower on Sunday!!!

Classes
Last week I went to a breastfeeding class at the hospital. It lasted about an hour and a half and it was only me and another girl who was due in 3 weeks. We learned a lot about the benefits of breastfeeding and watched a video about it. It was very informative and since it was only 2 of us, we got to ask a billion questions and have them all answered. The nurse who taught the class was really nice and will be one of the nurses available to help us with breastfeeding when we are at the hospital, which is good to know because I am sure I am going to need help and advice with that.
Last night we started the first of 3 Lamaze/Child Preparation classes. We went with my sister and her husband so that made it more interesting and fun. We joked around the whole time. Bobby did very well, surprisingly enough. But he didn't complain and participated in class. We learned about our bodies changes so far, old wives tales, breathing techniques and our husbands were told to give up massages at least once a week! Fat chance of that happening!! One of the girls in the class I recognized and turns out I coached her in cheerleading years ago. Man did I feel old. The other girl in class recognized our last name and she apparently works with Bobby's sister. Very SMALL world! Overall, I had fun and it was a good thing for us to experience together so Bobby feels more a part of what is going on inside of me. We have 2 more classes to go at the end of the month and in October.
I have my 8 month prenatal visit this Friday and my shower this Sunday so I will update after those!! Brianna continues to kick and kick all day long. She is getting so strong in there. Only 60 days (hopefully less and no more) to go until we are 3!!!! (Well, 4 including big sis Bo)

7th Month Prenatal Visit
It is so hard to believe I am now in my 7th month. It has gone sooooo fast. From today, there are only 79 more days until my due date! That is crazy..... We are so busy throughout September, with not one free weekend, so I know the time is going to fly right by.
I had my 7th month appointment (28 weeks) last Friday and everything was fine. Quick 5 minute appointment again. The baby's heartbeat was 136 which is good and the doc said she is a very active happy baby. This I already knew since she doesn't stop moving around all day long. I am pretty much used to feeling her kick me all day now and it doesn't freak me out anymore to see my stomach popping out or jiggling around when she kicks me. I found out though that I gained another 9 POUNDS!! I was so upset. That brings my total to 24 pounds so far. My doc was questioning what I have been eating and how much and when I told him that I hardly even eat, just cereal for breakfast, a bagel usually for lunch and then a small dinner if I even feel like having one, he was OK. Obviously, she is going to be a big one then!! I have never been so heavy in my life. I cannot wait to get back in the gym after she is born. I miss going there after work to unwind everyday. Soon enough though!! Her and Bobby will bond while I am at the gym getting my old body back My next appointment is another 4 weeks, September 15. I thought I might have to start going every 2 weeks now, but not yet.
I was suppose to have a breastfeeding class at the hospital last night but the nurse had to reschedule so that is now September 5th and we will be going to Lamaze/Child Preparation classes September 11, 18 and October 2. Bobby of course said he doesn't need to go because he was a Marine and can handle anything. Yeah OK. I can't wait to see how he is at the hospital. I am totally expecting him to freak out. Which will be GREAT!! Big bad Jarhead completely losing it, ha ha ha.......
