25 weeks
I'm now 25 weeks and 4 days!!  This past week has gone by pretty fast!  We have been so busy at work too!  We got to see my brother and sister in law last Saturday; they brought our nephew Gabe over to visit.  He's 6 months old now and is so cute!!  On Sunday we went to Brad's sister and brother in law's house for our nephew Nicholas' 2nd Birthday Party.  He's getting so big-it seems like just yeterday I was watching him be born!!  He has the cutest brown curls and blue eyes!!  If our baby boy looks anything like any of our nephews he will be gorgeous!!  He sure has been kicking and moving up a storm over the past week!  My belly almost gets uneven if I'm sitting down and he moves to one side!  He's kicking or punching up high too-over my belly button.  (I posted more pics of the ever growing bump too).  My sister in law is starting to plan the baby shower too, we're thinking it will be in early August.  We bought a bassinet this week too, it is soo cute, I'll post some pics of it too.  We're buying the bedding set tomorrow and Brad is going to get started on the mural.  After refinishing the hardwoods next weekend, we should be ready to paint!!  I think we have under 100 days to go now so it's moving right along!!

24 weeks/new pics

My 24 week appointment was today and it went well!!  My blood pressure was 102/70, I gained 4 lbs, his heartrate was great (didn't get the exact bpm) and I am measuring a week ahead at 25 weeks!  I go back for my last monthly appointment of the pregnancy on July 15; I will have the glucose screening done then.  After that, I will go every 2-3 weeks until 36 weeks.  I have had some sciatic nerve pain this week that I have to stretch really well to get rid of.  Needless to say, Brad helps me out with back rubs a lot!!  I have continued to have severe heartburn!!  My manager had some Pepcid AC on her today that really helped!!  He has been kicking up a storm too!  Some days more so than others....My mom felt it a little yesterday but he was being stubborn and would stop just as she tried to feel it.  Brad feels it all the time now.  Sometimes he kicks so hard I swear it should be visible from the outside-LOL!  As for the situation with our cat, she had to be fixed and it turns out she has Pyomerta (sp?), it;s a disease of the uterus!!  She is so happy now that she has it out!!  I feel so bad that we had not had it done sooner!!  We're just glad she's okay!!  I'm off tomorrow and am going to see Brad's mom to get my hair highlighted and cut.  It's gotten so long!!  I think this is all for now...it's almost time for the season premier of one of our favorite shows!!

23 weeks/CrAzY week!
This has been one heck of a week!!  As most of you know Brad and I keep to ourselves after work, we don't bother anyone, we are pretty private.  We live in an older neighborhood with OLDER neighbors, mostly retirees.  Our neighbor across the street came by last night saying our cat attacked her cat and ripped it's claws out and that we need to pay her vet bill and keep our cat inside.  She said our cat has attacked 3 other cats in the neighborhood!  We had no clue-no one has ever brought this to our attention!  Zoe's been fine as far as we can tell; all the cats in the neighborhood are indoor/outdoor and their cats are always at our house and they all seem to play well together......The other crazy thing is that our mortgage guy says we can refinance and save about $200/month so we are in the process of that now-we hope it works out!!  Please keep us in your prayers about this!!  We could definitely use an extra $200/month!!!  The baby has been constantly moving the past few days...it is so funny to be on the phone with a client or showing an apartment and wham, he kicks!  It catches me off guard!  LOL!  You all will not believe how much my bump has grown when I post some new pics!!  We took pictures today at work for our ad in an upscale magazine here in Greenville and I kept trying to position myself so I looked pregnant and not chubby!  We finally got a pic we all liked and I was sitting down-you can hardly even tell I have a near 6 month baby bump!  Brad's boss' daughter has a baby boy who is one year old and she gave us TONS of stuff today!!  IDK if he will need any clothes his first year at all now-I may have to change our registry!!  Most all of them still had tags on them too!  She also gave us brand new bassinet sheets, 5 brand new blankets and some toys.  Brad's mom is buying the bedding set as a present for us in the next few weeks!  We are so grateful for all the prayers, love and support everyone is showing us!!  I go to the doctor this Monday for my 24 week check up, I will update afterwards.

22 weeks

Boy has it been HOT!!  This past week has been the hottest so far this year and I have felt it!!  Our office gets sweltering in the afternoons and even our house has been hard to keep cool.  Regardless, Brad and I were determined to get some color on our pale bodies today so we laid out for a few hours and ended up getting pretty red.  I'm more red on the front for obvious reasons-it is tricky to lay out on my stomach!  I cut the middle out of an old lounge chair amd it works pretty well.  It still freaks me out a bit because the baby starts kicking when I lay that way and I feel like he doesn't like it.  We went to Lowes today and picked up some paint swatches and looked at decorative shelves for the nursery.  Looks like we will be able to start on it after July 4.  Brad's dad is coming over to help him refinish and stain the hardwood in the house and after that we will be able to paint.  We may not have all the furniture in place until August-September but that's okay-just starting on it will make me happy!!  On another note, if what they say about heartburn and the baby having hair is true-this boy will have a head full!!  I have had such awful heartburn over the past two weeks!  It happens even when I don't eat anything that should give me heartburn....Tums have become my new friend!  I think that's all the news this week has brought-until next time...
